কৃত্রিম বুদ্ধিমত্তা (AI) এখন শুধু একটি প্রযুক্তি নয়—এটি বৈশ্বিক পরিবর্তনের অন্যতম চালিকাশক্তি। বিশ্বজুড়ে তথ্য ব্যবস্থাপনা, গণমাধ্যম, প্রশাসন ও সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণ প্রক্রিয়ায় AI-এর প্রভাব দিন দিন আরও বিস্তৃত হচ্ছে।
এই বাস্তবতাকে অনুধাবন করেই জাতীয় গণমাধ্যম ইনস্টিটিউট (NIMC) তাদের বিভিন্ন কর্মশালা, প্রশিক্ষণ ও কারিকুলামে ধারাবাহিকভাবে AI বিষয়ক আধুনিক জ্ঞান ও ব্যবহারিক দিকগুলো অন্তর্ভুক্ত করে যাচ্ছে।
এরই ধারাবাহিকতায় BCS (Information) Cadre কর্মকর্তাদের জন্য আয়োজন করা হয় দুই সপ্তাহব্যাপী বিশেষ প্রশিক্ষণ কর্মসূচি — “AI’s Impact on Information Management For BCS(Info) Cadre Officer”।
এই প্রশিক্ষণে অংশগ্রহণকারীদের হাতে-কলমে AI-এর বিভিন্ন বাস্তব ও কার্যকর ব্যবহার শেখানো হয়। তথ্য ব্যবস্থাপনা, কনটেন্ট উন্নয়ন, গবেষণা, বিশ্লেষণ, কর্মদক্ষতা বৃদ্ধি এবং আধুনিক ডিজিটাল কার্যক্রমে AI কীভাবে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখতে পারে—তা নিয়ে ছিল বিস্তৃত আলোচনা ও ব্যবহারিক অনুশীলন।
প্রশিক্ষণ শেষে গতকাল ২১ মে অনুষ্ঠিত হয় সমাপনী ও সনদপত্র বিতরণ অনুষ্ঠান। অনুষ্ঠানে সভাপতিত্ব করেন জাতীয় গণমাধ্যম ইনস্টিটিউটের মহাপরিচালক (অতিরিক্ত সচিব) মুহম্মদ হিরুজ্জামান এনডিসি।
তিনি তাঁর বক্তব্যে AI বিষয়ে নিয়মিত চর্চা, দক্ষতা অর্জন এবং প্রযুক্তির দায়িত্বশীল ব্যবহারের ওপর গুরুত্বারোপ করেন। পাশাপাশি জনগণের কল্যাণে তথ্য ব্যবস্থাপনাকে আরও কার্যকর ও আধুনিক করতে AI-এর সম্ভাবনাকে কাজে লাগানোর আহ্বান জানান। তিনি বলেন, ভবিষ্যতের প্রশাসন ও গণযোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থায় AI গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করবে, তাই সরকারি কর্মকর্তাদের এ বিষয়ে দক্ষ হয়ে ওঠা সময়ের দাবি।
সময়ের সাথে তাল মিলিয়ে দক্ষ, প্রযুক্তিবান্ধব ও আধুনিক মানবসম্পদ গড়ে তুলতে জাতীয় গণমাধ্যম ইনস্টিটিউট অগ্রণী ভূমিকা পালন করে যাচ্ছে।

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no longer just a technology; it has become one of the major driving forces of global transformation. Across the world, AI is creating significant impact in information management, media, administration, and decision-making processes.
Recognizing this reality, the National Institute of Mass Communication (NIMC) has been continuously incorporating AI-related knowledge and practical applications into its workshops, training programs, and curricula.
As part of this ongoing initiative, a two-week specialized training program titled “AI’s Impact on Information Management For BCS (Info) Cadre Officer" was organized for BCS (Information) Cadre officers.
The participants received hands-on training on various practical and impactful uses of AI. The sessions included discussions and practical exercises on information management, content development, research, analysis, productivity enhancement, and the effective use of AI in modern digital operations.
The closing and certificate distribution ceremony of the training program was held yesterday, 21 May. The session was chaired by the Director General (Additional Secretary) of NIMC, Muhammad Hiruzzaman ndc.
In his speech, he emphasized the importance of continuous practice, skill development, and responsible use of AI technologies. He also highlighted the need to utilize AI for public welfare and more effective information management. According to him, AI will play a vital role in the future of administration and public communication, making AI competency an essential requirement for government officials.
This initiative of NIMC is undoubtedly a commendable step toward building skilled, technology-friendly, and future-ready human resources.
