A meaningful visit to Yarphu Primary School, engaging with teachers and boarding students, encouraging students to read, learn, and dream big, while appreciating the teachers for their dedication and commitment. The visit also included an interaction with the students and a look into their learning and boarding environment.

During the visit to Benporong Village, Dasho and the team met with the local people and listened to their experiences, concerns, risks, and challenges. Dasho acknowledged the issues shared by the community and assured them of the Dzongkhag’s full support in addressing their concerns and working together towards appropriate solutions.

During the familiarisation tour, Dasho and the team visited Wangphu Primary School and interacted with the teachers and boarding students. Dasho encouraged the students to develop a habit of reading, study hard, and make the best use of the opportunities available to them. Dasho also appreciated the teachers for their dedication and commitment in serving at the school, and shared updates on the Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC) and its significance for the future of Bhutan. The visit concluded with a tour of the classrooms and boarding facilities, including the hostel rooms.

Familiarisation tour at Wangphu Gewog

During the familiarisation tour to Wangphu Gewog, Dasho and the team visited the ongoing construction of the Ngyera Ama Bridge, which will provide improved connectivity to Serchemo and Hila village and link it with the Gewog centre. The team also visited Wangphu Primary Health Centre, where Dasho met and interacted with the health staff, discussing their experiences, challenges, and the services being provided to the community.

Familiarisation tour to Wangphu Gewog, Dasho interacted with the Gewog administration and local community and encouraged the people to strengthen self-reliance through hard work, particularly in agriculture, while reducing over-reliance on Government support. Dasho also emphasised the importance of unity, cooperation, and collective efforts in promoting community development. Updates on the Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC) were also shared, along with the importance of strengthening disaster preparedness and resilience at the community level.
