INTEGRITY IN ACTION 🇧🇹

A heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Rinchen Wangdi and Mr. Pema Thinley for handing over a wallet they found in the main town area to Thimphu Police Station on the morning of 4 September 2026.

The wallet, containing Bhutanese and foreign currencies, coins and CID cards, was duly recorded and kept in police custody for safekeeping and return to its rightful owner.

Their honesty and sense of civic responsibility are a commendable example of community values and integrity.

Small acts of honesty and integrity make a big difference.

61st Police Raising Day Commemoration

The 61st Police Raising Day is being commemorated across the country, with officers and personnel of the Royal Bhutan Police gathering in their respective field divisions to mark this significant occasion.

The celebrations reflect the shared spirit of service, commitment and camaraderie that continues to guide the Royal Bhutan Police in fulfilling its mandate to safeguard peace and security, and to serve the Tsa-Wa-Sum with dedication.

61st Police Raising Day

Tashi Delek and felicitations to all Officers and Other Ranks on the occasion of the 61st Police Raising Day.

From an initial strength of 555 personnel under the vision of His Majesty the Third Druk Gyalpo, the RBP has grown into a professional institution safeguarding peace, security and the rule of law. As the nation advances the Gelephu Mindfulness City initiative, the RBP steps into an expanded role in securing safe and inclusive development, while continuing to strengthen its capacity to meet emerging challenges in modern policing.

The RBP reaffirms its commitment to integrity, professionalism and public service, and records its deep gratitude to His Majesty The King and the Royal Government of Bhutan for their continued vision and support.

INTEGRITY IN ACTION

Drimpon Jigme Dorji of Dorokha Police Station found Nu. 35,900 along the Dorokha highway and ensured it was returned to its rightful owner, Mr. Raj Bdr. Rai of Khempaling, Samtse.

A simple act, but a powerful reflection of honesty, integrity and the spirit of public service.

We commend Drimpon Jigme Dorji for upholding the values of the Royal Bhutan Police.

The Royal Bhutan Police (RBP) has received complaints concerning alleged case of online harassment that has been widely circulated on social media.

Given the nature and seriousness of the allegations, including the reported involvement of minors and the alleged use of social media platforms, the matter is currently under investigation by the Royal Bhutan Police.

The RBP strongly urges the general public to refrain from sharing, forwarding, reposting, or otherwise circulating any screenshots, videos, messages, or other content related to this matter through social media or any other platform. The sharing or further dissemination of such content may not only have legal consequences but may also cause further harm and distress to those involved, particularly where minors are concerned.

The cooperation and responsible conduct of the public are essential in protecting the privacy and well-being of victims, especially children, and in preventing further harm while the matter is under investigation.
