10/19/2026

At approximately 7:35am ARES was paged to the village of Rosengart to respond to reports of smoke in a residence. Upon arrival a quick investigation revealed that the electric furnace had malfunctioned causing a small fire in the electrical panel of the furnace. There were no injuries and no significant damage to the residence.

At approximately 3:45pm ARES responded to a 2 vehicle collision in the RM of Rhineland. Both vehicles sustained significant damage. Each vehicle had a lone occupant who was found to have no injuries after being assessed on scene by Paramedics.

Comradery within a fire department happens in many ways. It happens on scene, in the trucks, on training nights and sometimes it simply means a low key Saturday breakfast.

At approximately 2:45pm ARES responded to a barn fire in Neubergthal. ARES had a full response consisting of 6 trucks and 17 fire personnel. In a relatively short time we were able to extinguish the fire and save the barn.

We are saddened to hear of the passing of Letellier Fire Chief, Andrew Dixon.

On behalf of all ARES members we extend our deepest sympathies to the Dixon family and all members of the Letellier Fire Department.

25 years ago we stood silent watching the towers go down in a senseless act of violence. Today we remember the almost 3000 civilians that lost their lives and we remember the EMS workers, police officers and firefighters who gave the ultimate sacrifice running towards danger in service to their community. 25 years ago we pledged that we would never forget. Today we remember and uphold that promise.

Richard joined ARES as a way to serve and give back to the community. Richard is grateful for the relationships he has built with the other Fire Fighters.

In his spare time Richard enjoys watching Football, reading and travelling with his wife Benita.

In addition to serving as a firefighter Russ is also a former deputy chief for ARES. Russ joined the department as a way to give back to his community. Russ loves classic cars and enjoys spending time with his family and watching his grandkids compete in different events.
