Back in June, and in partnership with the Star 6 Ranch Foundation, Simmi Latulippe began offering monthly sessions at the Star 6 Ranch guiding women through yoga, connection, and grounding with the land.

If you’re feeling called to slow down and listen to the whispers of your body, join Simmi and a supportive circle of women to explore gentle practices and new techniques to disconnect from the busyness of life and reconnect with what matters most.

There are still two sessions left to attend this year on November 16th and December 14th. Please pre-register through the link in our bio!

The barn sits at the heart of the ranch, where each day begins and ends. It is where the mornings start and where the horses return after a day of grazing. The barn isn’t just a building, it’s where the magic of the ranch happens. 🌾

Laughter, learning, and connection fill the space. From staff to groups to four-legged friends, everything moves around the barn… it is the heart. ❤️

Meet Jack! Or as we call him, Sweet Potato.⁠ 🍠

Jack may be small, but he moves through the world with the heart of a full-sized horse. He’s curious, kind, and always the first to nicker at you in the morning. Whether he’s keeping watch over chores or nudging for an extra pat (and snack), Jack’s curious heart keeps him right in the mix. A miniature horse who’s sure he’s one of the big ones.

What a beautiful fall evening shared with on Tuesday! 🌾

We loved welcoming everyone to the Star 6 Ranch for a run across the property and into the Bow Valley Provincial Park, followed by a potluck in the Old Barn Meeting Room. There’s something special about moving together on the trails and then gathering around a shared meal, reminding us why community is so important to our overall health and wellness. A big thank you to all who showed up! 💛

At the end of September, we held an in-house Professional Development Day with Linda Fitzpatrick of Reverence Horsemanship Centre.

The day gave the Star 6 Ranch horse people a chance to bring their diverse experiences into the mix while learning to speak the same language with one another. It was all about helping both horse and human release tension and move toward softness, creating that “I got you” feeling that builds safety, trust, and connection between horse and human.

From the ground in the morning to the saddle in the afternoon, we explored how awareness, balance, and using our seat helps us move with our horses rather than just being on them or along for the ride. When we work on the posture of both horse and human, magic unfolds! 🪄

We invited the whole herd in the arena to be part of the experience. Some critters were front and centre, others quietly supported, and everyone reminded us to pause, listen, and ground alongside them.

Meet Leo! 🐾

The Star 6 Ranch team had been considering a ranch dog for a while… we just weren’t sure how it would come about. Then one day, Leo showed up at Star 6 Ranch: timid, shy, and a little too thin. We knew there was a home for him here, if he wanted it.

At first, he watched us from afar, curious, yet cautious. Then came the quiet moments of simply sharing space as we gained his trust. We offered food, words of encouragement, and eventually soft touch. And now? He can’t get close enough!

These days, Leo is our shadow. Wherever we go, he’s sure to follow! He patrols the ranch with confidence, helping us move the herd, check fences, and calmly watch as we tend to the chickens.

He’s also become quite the social butterfly, greeting groups on-site with a wagging tail and an open invitation for belly rubs.

He’s stolen our hearts, and we’re so happy to officially welcome him to the Star 6 family. 💛
