Mondays - Fridays from 1-5 p.m. and 6:30-9 p.m. for programming.

Mission of the Library
The Wisewood Library is a partnership between the Northern Village of Buffalo Narrows and twin Lakes Community School supported by the Northern Lights School division # 113 and the Pahkisimon Nuyeah Library System. It works to provide the best possible services for the school and community by improving awareness, resources and programming. The Wisewood Library has a vibran

t board that is dedicated to the development of relationships built on trust, commitment and increased opportunities for its board, staff and the community. Wisewood Library honours and promotes the northern Village's history and focuses on bringing the community and school together to celebrate the successes of our children and our community.

🎨✨ Check out some of the amazing artwork created by Mike Ramsdale, the talented artist who will be facilitating our Youth Art Workshop at Wisewood Library!

If you’d like to learn new painting techniques and create artwork of your own, this is the perfect opportunity.

📚🌟 A Special Reminder! 🌟📚

Award-winning Cree author Mark Thunderchild will be visiting Wisewood Library on Thursday, August 6 at 5:00 PM!

Children ages 4–11 are invited to enjoy a reading of Kohkum’s Kitchen, followed by a fun paint-and-create activity and snacks. 🎨🍪

Come meet the author, enjoy a wonderful story and spend an evening creating together. The visit will last about one hour.

We’re excited to welcome Mark Thunderchild and hope to see you there! 😊

📚 TD Summer Reading Club is underway!

Children ages upto 12 can start reading now and join us at Wisewood Library from August 4–7 from 2-4pm for reading, activities and some summer fun.
Participants will receive a PNLS activity notebook where they can complete fun activities, track their reading and use the included stickers.

🧵✨ Wrapped in Heritage: Pendleton Jacket Making Workshop ✨🧵

Wisewood Library is excited to host a special hands-on Pendleton Jacket Making Workshop this September! Participants will learn the process of creating their own Pendleton-style jacket while building sewing skills and sharing in community and culture.

👩‍🏫 Facilitated by Becki Bitternose

✔ All sewing supplies provided
✔ Lunch & refreshments included
✔ Step-by-step instruction
✔ Limited spots available (15 participants total)

⚠ Intermediate sewing experience is required.

Participants will attend in two small groups over two full workshop days.
