The Environmental Operators Certification Program (EOCP) evolved from a voluntary initiative of a handful of dedicated wastewater treatment plant Operators in 1966.
The EOCP was the first such organization in Canada, and now oversees the classification of thousands of water and wastewater facilities and systems, and the certification of more than 5,000 Environmental Operators, to enable the prudent management of water and wastewater across British Columbia and Yukon for more than 4.2 million people.
