Our hearts are broken by the tragic loss of Parker, a young Calgary boy whose disappearance touched our entire community. As a child with autism, deeply loved by his family and supported by many caring people in his life, his loss is being felt far beyond those who knew him personally.
We extend our deepest condolences to Parker's family and loved ones during this time. We also hold in our thoughts the teachers, educational assistants, care providers, and all those who supported Parker throughout his life.
We want to acknowledge the countless volunteers, first responders, search teams, and community members who dedicated their time, hope, and hearts to bringing him home. Their compassion and commitment demonstrated the very best of our community.
As we mourn this devastating loss, may we also recommit ourselves to building communities where autistic individuals and other vulnerable people are understood, supported, included, and protected. Rest in peace, Parker. You will not be forgotten. 💙
