Great practice tonight! We drove trucks, pulled hose, and put wet stuff on hot stuff. The view was pretty great too!l

Beginning this evening and over the next few Wednesday night practices, CFFR will be burning long grass and dead shrubs around the community. We wanted to give everyone a heads-up that smoke from these burns may be visible tonight.

At 1:54 a.m. Feb7, CFFR was dispatched to a residential structure fire on Bailley Grohman Avenue. The occupant and pets were accounted for, but unfortunately the mobile home was a total loss.

A huge thank you to Fairmont Fire Rescue for the mutual aid, Windermere Fire Rescue for helping with salvage and overhaul (and for bringing the much-needed coffee!), and to Drew for providing all the extra hands and the coffee cups!

Moments like these truly remind us what it means to live in such a strong valley community. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who answered the call that night, from our fellow firefighters to the amazing locals who helped pull more than a few hundred feet of hydrant hose, took in pets, made hot drinks, and brought out baked treats.

Your help and support means the world to us.
