The fire hazard is high to extreme across much of Ontario today. Please use extreme caution if you are in a forested area or wildland-urban interface (areas where homes and communities are adjacent to forests). Ontario is currently responding to 160 active wildland fires. With high temperatures and extremely dry conditions, the potential exists for extreme fire behaviour. Avoid parking on dry grass, allow ATVs and other off-road vehicles to cool regularly, and refrain from using fire unless absolutely necessary.

Chief Maxwell reminds everyone there is NOT a current fire ban in place. With the upcoming heat wave the fire chief may at his discretion implement a fire ban.
Burning is permitted from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. with a radius of 1 x 1 meter.
Ensure a responsible person is present at all times, with water,shovels, and rakes.
Always call 911 in an emergency.
