SAHA’s Chocolate Fest 2026 is two weeks away!! Have you got your tickets yet?

Join us for our Spooktacular Soiree on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 6-9pm at Magnolia Hall: 115 Hunter Street West.

Chocolate Fest is SACHA's sweetest fundraiser of the year, and this year it’s our spookiest! This event features delectable treats from some of Hamilton's top chocolatiers, confectioners, bakers, and restaurants. The line up so far includes Carluke Orchards, Coati Fine Chocolate, Denningers, DSRT Co., Eem Khao/Pintoh, Eldercamp, Henry's on James, Hotti Biscotti, Jonny Blonde, Pleasant Co., Rony's, Sharpe Cravings, and Vintage Coffee Roasters. This year's Spooktacular Soiree includes music from DJ Realistic, tarot readings from Karena at The Witch's Inn, tea leaf readings from Mariah's Little House of Healing, prizes, costume contest, silent auction, and more! All proceeds benefit SACHA and support survivors in the Hamilton community.

Tickets start at $65, and SACHA is offering a Pay It Forward ticket option this year. If you’re not able to attend, please consider purchasing a ticket that will be donated to someone who would otherwise be unable to attend. Tickets are available now at tinyurl.com/chocolatefest26

Do you know SACHA offers free Public Education for Youth? 💚💛🩵

One way we prevent violence and build a consent culture is through beginning this education early!

We offer education to any group size, any ages, even for groups of friends who want to learn more.

Our workshops are fully customized to each audience and we are able to support different learning styles.

Some of the topic options include: Consent, Feminism, Anti-Oppression, Healthy Relationships, Healthy Sexuality, Boundaries, Bystander Intervention, Online Violence & More!

We also offer different learning methods such as: Arts-Based, Activity-Based, Zine Making, Workshop Style, and Discussion-Based

Youth deserve to learn about consent, autonomy, & their rights, feel empowered & listened to and have access to intersectional, anti-oppressive education!

October 4th is Sisters in Spirit Day to honour the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, Trans, and Two-Spirit People and to commit to action to prevent turther violence.

Indigenous women are 12 times more likely to go missing or be murdered than non-Indigenous women in Canada.

231 Calls to Justice were shared by the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls in 2019. Only 2 have been fully completed by 2026. If you haven’t yet please read the Calls to Justice and hold yourself, your community, and your government accountable to ensure they are complete. There is an epidemic of violence against Indigenous people, settlers have a responsibility to allyship and uplifting Indigenous voices and their work to create a world free of violence. At SACHA we are grateful that we are able to sit on the Sisters In Spirit Committee in Hamilton and to work alongside amazing Indigenous community organizations and leaders who are doing the hard work to raise awareness and prevent violence. It takes a community to end violence, today ask yourself what you can do to uplift the work that is being done.
