Today, June 2nd, is International S*x Workers’ Day ❤️

SACHA will not tolerate whorephobia. S*x workers deserve to be listened to and believed and in what they need including the full decriminalization of s*x work, legal protects, and status for all. S*x workers continue to be advocates for consent, bodily autonomy, and support for survivors of violence and we are grateful to work along side amazing organizations by and for s*x workers in Hamilton including the S*x Workers Action Program (SWAP) and Butterfly- Asian and Migrant S*x Worker Support Network.

June is a time to celebrate, learn, and stand in solidarity. This Pride Month and National Indigenous History Month, we honour the strength, resilience, and contributions of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities and First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples.

We also recognize that s*xual violence disproportionately impacts these communities due to ongoing discrimination, systemic barriers, and the lasting effects of colonialism. As a s*xual assault centre, we remain committed to supporting survivors, advocating for equity, and working toward communities free from s*xual violence where everyone is treated with dignity, respect, and belonging. 🏳️‍🌈🧡
