Older homes in Hamilton may still have lead water service pipes — here’s what to do if you think you’ve found one 👇

The best long-term solution is to replace your lead water service line. When homeowners replace the private portion of the pipe, the City will replace the public portion as well.

Hamilton Water also offers:
✔️ Free Check Size and Type Inspections
✔️ A Lead Water Service Replacement Loan Program for eligible homeowners

Even if you have a lead service pipe, tap water remains safe for bathing, showering, brushing teeth, washing dishes and laundry.
