Just a reminder that August is recruitment month at Hampton Fire Rescue.

We are looking for dedicated community members who want to make a difference. No previous experience is required. We'll provide the training. All you need is a willingness to learn, dedicate the time, and to be 18 years of age or older. You must be living in Hampton Ward 2.

If interested, stop by the fire hall Monday to Friday between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm to pick up an application and submit it before August 31st. Applications can also be downloaded from https://www.hamptonfirerescue.ca/join

After 28 years of dedicated service, leadership, and commitment to our community, we had the privilege of celebrating Fire Chief Mike Raeburn's retirement on Saturday evening. Mike officially retired from Hampton Fire Rescue in December 2025, leaving behind a legacy that has helped shape our department for generations to come.

Thank you, Chief Raeburn, for your unwavering dedication, mentorship, and the countless hours you devoted to serving the residents of Hampton. Your impact on this department and community will not be forgotten.

A very special thank you also goes to Patty. Behind every dedicated firefighter is a family who shares in the sacrifices, long nights, missed holidays, and commitment to service. Patty's support throughout Mike's 28-year career played an important role in making that service possible.

Please join us in congratulating Mike on a well-earned retirement and wishing both Mike and Patty all the very best as they begin this exciting new chapter together

Last night around 9:30 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire on Dofred Road in Rothesay.

Crews arrived to find a garage on fire, with the fire threatening a nearby home. Firefighters quickly attacked the fire and protected the home from further damage.

Thanks to our mutual aid partners Saint John Firefighters, Hampton Fire Rescue, Simonds Fire Rescue and Nauwigewauk Fire Department.

On Friday, May 22, at approximately 8 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire in the 300 block of Hampton Road in Quispamsis.

Firefighters arrived to find a working fire. Despite an early and aggressive interior attack, the home sustained significant damage. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Thank you to our mutual aid partners Kennebecasis Regional Police Force, and Hampton Fire Rescue for their assistance.

At this time, there is to be no burning of brush and the use of wood burning fire pits is prohibited 🚫
