Harvey’s new Council Sworn into Office

During a ceremony held in Council Chambers at HMCC, Harvey Rural Community’s new Council was sworn into office on June 1st.

Here are your elected Harvey Municipal Council members:

Mayor: Richard Corey (Front Center)

Councillor Ward 1: Brett Mabie (Back Left)

Councillor Ward 2: Robert Cole (Back Right)

Councillor Ward 3: Sheryl Pepin (Front Right)

Councillor Ward 4: Laurie Burgoyne (Back Center)

Councillor At Large: Jeremy Estabrooks (Front Left)

Swearing in Ceremony
A new chapter for Harvey Rural Community begins as Mayor-elect Richard Corey and the newly elected members of Council officially take their Oath of Office.

Following the ceremony, members of Council will have an opportunity to share brief remarks. Official Council photos will also take place following the swearing-in.

The annual community-wide ParticipACTION Challenge begins this Monday, June 1st! This month-long challenge has communities across Canada face-off to be crowned “Canada’s Most Active Community” (for a chance to win $100,000💰).

There's an action-packed lineup of events planned all month long! Be sure to keep an eye on your mailbox for upcoming schedules and event information. 🎭 Drama Camp – Summer 2026! 🎭

Get ready for a week of creativity, fun, and performance at our Drama Camp!

📅 Dates: July 13–17
📍 Location: HHS Theatre
👥 Ages: Students going into Grade 6 up to those going into Grade 9 in the fall

⏰ Daily Schedule:

Drop-off: 8:30–9:00 AM
Programming: 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
Pick-up: 3:00–4:00 PM
(Participants must bring their own snack, lunch, and drinks)

There is no fee for the camp; however registration is required.

🌟 The week will finish with a final public performance on Friday, July 17th — a “Pay What You Can” show for family and friends!
