Today, Interior Community Services joins communities around the world in recognizing International Overdose Awareness Day.

This day is an opportunity to remember and honour those whose lives have been lost to overdose, support the families, friends, and communities impacted, and raise awareness about the importance of reducing stigma surrounding substance use.

We recognize that substance use affects people from all walks of life, and that compassion, understanding, and access to support are essential components of a healthier community. At ICS, we remain committed to supporting individuals and families through harm reduction, education, advocacy, and access to services.

Today, we encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect, learn, and help create a community where people feel safe reaching out for support.

Connecting with Community at the Teddy Bear Picnic!

Interior Community Services was proud to be part of the 20th Annual Teddy Bear Mother Goose Picnic, welcoming over 1,000 participants, staff, and volunteers this year!

Our team had a wonderful time connecting with families at our interactive station.
A highlight of the day was seeing individuals and families we’ve supported over the years thriving and reconnecting, and watching their children grow and flourish. Moments like these remind us of the lasting impact of our work in the community.

Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day

On June 21, we recognize and celebrate the rich cultures, heritage, traditions, and contributions of all indigenous peoples across our country.

At Interior Community Services, we honour the deep significance of this day and the generations of knowledge, resilience, and strength Indigenous communities carry and share. This is also a time to reflect on the importance of reconciliation, allyship, and the responsibility we all share in building respectful, inclusive relationships.

Let us listen, learn, and stand in solidarity today and every day.
