Huge congratulations to and the entire team on a successful Black Swan Conference this morning.

It was an honour to be there as your regional councillor but also as a business owner/entrepreneur. I know what it's like to start a company with nothing but a passion. I was happy to see all of the progress that has been made. We still have kilometres to go but we aren't where we were.

Small businesses are the backbone of communities. The more access and support ensures we all thrive.

Proud to see the Region of Waterloo as a sponsor.

Mayor Foxton , it has been a true honour to work alongside you, to learn from your leadership and to experience your mentorship and sponsorship firsthand.

This morning at the Women Take Charge" Breakfast, your words were a powerful reminder of purpose, perspective, and responsibility. You grounded me again in my “why.”

A few reflections that will stay with me:

“If I didn’t see the dinosaurs, I wouldn’t have recognized them.”
A reminder to stay aware, to learn from what we witness, and to trust our instincts.

“You’re nobody if you are standing on someone’s shoulders to bring someone else down.”
A call to lead with integrity to lift others up, not diminish them.

Grateful for leaders who make space, share wisdom, and remind us that how we lead matters just as much as what we achieve.
