The final sessions of the Global Leadership Exchange brought powerful insights on reform, leadership, and the work ahead.

We heard from Eddie Bartnik, Maria Medioli, and Tricia Murray on the Nova Scotia Human Rights Remedy and the progress being made in disability reform, cultural change, and implementation at a provincial level.

The keynote panel, The Future is Now, challenged us to think about succession planning, adaptive leadership, and how to lead through complexity, with perspectives from Ronelle Baker, Rt Hon Paul Burstow, Dakota McGovern, and Jonny Morris, moderated by Dr. Joss Reimer.

Closing reflections from Keenan Bird, Audrey Joyal, and Joanne Mills grounded the week in both learning and action.

This week reinforced that collaboration accelerates impact, inclusion strengthens outcomes, and leadership is about mobilizing collective solutions.

Thank you to the organizers, partners, and participants for creating a space where ideas can move into action.

Yesterday, the Global Leadership Exchange main event in Ottawa opened with powerful remarks from:
• The Honourable Marjorie Michel, Federal Minister of Health
• Natan Obed, President of Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami
• Victoria Pruden, President of the Métis National Council

Their words grounded the conversation in leadership, culture, and the importance of inclusion across communities. We also heard a moving keynote from Sandra Pronteau, who shared her lived experience as a survivor of the Sixties Scoop and as a person with a disability. Her story reflected on reconnecting with her culture and witnessing inclusion in action, reminding us that identity is multifaceted and shaped by belonging, community, and opportunity.

Grateful to be part of these important conversations that continue to challenge, inspire, and move us toward more inclusive systems for all.

Gorgeous day today at our farm with an amazing group of volunteers! Thank you so much to the team from Definity for all the hard work they did digging, weeding and moving compost! We can't do this work without volunteers and we are so glad to have you back on the farm for another season!
