Mid- September the Loreburn Library and LCS hosted the Nanan Academy, courtesy of SaskPower through Palliser Regional Library, at Loreburn Central School. A Nanan instructor got the students in Grades 6 - 8 to program little robots to follow mazes. The students were also encouraged to try programming to obtain other robot outcomes. It was an interesting afternoon.

First, I want to thank everyone for the warm welcome as your new librarian! I’m so excited to be here, get to know the community better, and find new ways to make the library a place everyone can enjoy. 📚💛

I’d love to know which of these activities you would be most likely to attend:

1. Blind Date with a Book — choose a wrapped book based only on a few clues

2. Silent Reading & Coffee — bring any book, enjoy a coffee or tea, and read quietly together

3. Adult Craft Night — a relaxed evening with a simple seasonal craft

4. Family Story & Craft Time — stories and an activity for children and their families

5. Community Game or Puzzle Night — board games, cards and puzzles for a casual evening out
