🌟 We're Hiring! Counsellor Position 🌟
Whitevalley Community Resource Centre is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counsellor to join our team.
📍 Position: Counsellor
📅 Term: Until March 31, 2027 (with possible extension)
⏰ Hours: 35–40 hours per week (must be available to work Fridays until 7:00 PM)
💲 Wage: $30–$35/hour, depending on education and experience
About the Role:
• Provide assessment, counselling, and therapeutic support to children, youth, adults, and families.
• Support individuals experiencing mental health concerns, substance use challenges, family conflict, parenting concerns, and other life stressors.
• Develop individualized service plans and collaborate with community partners.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and client records.
• Deliver services using trauma-informed, culturally safe, strength-based, and harm-reduction approaches.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Human Services, or a related field (equivalent education and experience may be considered).
• Experience providing counselling services to children, youth, adults, and families.
• Strong assessment, communication, documentation, and case management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
