π We're Hiring! Counsellor Position π
Whitevalley Community Resource Centre is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counsellor to join our team.
π Position: Counsellor
π
Term: Until March 31, 2027 (with possible extension)
β° Hours: 35β40 hours per week (must be available to work Fridays until 7:00 PM)
π² Wage: $30β$35/hour, depending on education and experience
About the Role:
β’ Provide assessment, counselling, and therapeutic support to children, youth, adults, and families.
β’ Support individuals experiencing mental health concerns, substance use challenges, family conflict, parenting concerns, and other life stressors.
β’ Develop individualized service plans and collaborate with community partners.
β’ Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and client records.
β’ Deliver services using trauma-informed, culturally safe, strength-based, and harm-reduction approaches.
Qualifications:
β’ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Human Services, or a related field (equivalent education and experience may be considered).
β’ Experience providing counselling services to children, youth, adults, and families.
β’ Strong assessment, communication, documentation, and case management skills.
β’ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
β’ Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
