'm thrilled to see nearly $650,000 in Community Gaming Grants is supporting the incredible organizations that help make Vernon-Lumby such a caring and connected place to live.

These grants, funded through commercial gambling revenue, are reinvested back into communities to support essential services including mental-health supports, child care, education, seniors' programs, and services for people with disabilities.

This year, local recipients include organizations such as the Archway Society for Domestic Peace, NONA Child Development Centre, Upper Room Mission Vernon Society, Whitevalley Community Resource Centre, NOHS - North Okanagan Hospice Society, the Community Dental Access Centre, and many, many more.

When we partner with amazing local organizations, like the ones receiving these grants in Vernon and Lumby, everybody wins. Our communities are better because of these amazing local organizations and the people who work tirelessly to support them.

I am so grateful for all the workers, volunteers, and partners that make it possible for people here and across the province to access the supports they need. ❀️
