Halloween Story Time!

On Wednesday, October 28 at 4 pm, we will be having a Halloween Story Time for kids ages 5 and under! There will be a story, rhymes, singing, a simple craft, and lunch!

Registration is required! If you wish to attend, please contact the library 📚

Our desk goose, Paige Turner, had so much fun at our adult witch night that she is hosting a witch night for school aged children! Witch Paige invites school aged kids to grab their best witch - “their Mom” and join us for a fun night at the library tomorrow, Thursday, October 22 at 6:30 pm. We will read a Halloween story, make our very own “Pet Ghost”, and have a snack plus a couple other surprise activities.

Last night, we held the most spooktacular event at the Library! 18 witches gathered together for an enchanting evening. When the bells tolled, it was time to meet in our witches circle! We shared in spooky story time sessions and games/activities! There was a “Pick Your Poison” mocktail bar with 3 drink choices - Love Potion, Witches Brew, or Hocus Pocus! Love Potion was our witches choice of the night! We had Madame Winifred in her witches quarters doing tarot readings for our guests. It was the absolute best night!

We would like to thank everyone who came out last night! So much time goes into planning and preparing for these events. We hope you all enjoyed your night to the fullest. Special thanks to my 2 Pam’s for all the help 💕

It’s “Witches Night Out” at the library! We have been really busy getting ready for a “spooktacular” night! Can’t wait to see you all. We will gather in our witches circle promptly at 7 pm for our first activity!!! Don’t be late!!!! 🧙

Book Club for Grades 2-6!

The Lumsden Public Library in partnership with NL Health Services will be hosting a monthly Book Club for kids in Grades 2-6!

Do you love reading? Do you need extra practice on reading? We have a fun way to share your love for reading with others. We will pick an age appropriate book to read. Everyone will get their own copy. You will have a month to finish the book. Then, we will meet for a night of fun discussion, crafts, snacks, and activities pertaining to the book 📕

If you’re interested, please contact the library to register. We are hoping to get our first book out by November 1! 📖📚😊
