My donation to: The Jack-O-Lantern Walk in Gilmore Park 🎃

What started in 2020 as a way for neighbours to celebrate Halloween while staying physically distanced quickly became a Glen Allan tradition. Individuals & families carve pumpkins, then line them down the pathway for everyone to wander through and enjoy.

📅 Date: Saturday, October 24
🕐 Time: 6 PM - 9 PM
📍 Location: Gilmore Park - 15 Gilmore Avenue

Come out, take a walk in the park and see what your neighbours have created. The Sherwood Park Crusaders are also participating!

Don’t forget to vote for your favourite under 13 and 13+ Jack-O-Lantern. There are great prizes to be won!!

Things are beginning to really pick up around here and now with my daughter and I launching a Slime Crime business, we are extra busy!

***Larger orders will be accepted until November 1st. After that will be on a discussion basis only to see if it works for my schedule. All regular orders may be submitted anytime.

***Ornaments are officially launched. They are the same price as every other year at $8 (no discounts for these, sorry) I use the 3" rounds ONLY.

***After November 1st, I will no longer be accepting apparel from customers to print/press. When starting this business, that was never my intention and in fact it was always a personal rule and I've let it slip. My prices are listed in the PINNED post, they are fair and they are a common rate. If your able to get somewhere "cheaper" I have zero issues with that and I don't take offence at all. I'm not for everybody and that's ok. Also- I use brands from

King Athletics
Quality Branded
Russell Athletic
Gildan
NuBlend

Most sweaters (hoodies and crews) will likely be from King Athletics and Jerzees.

***If you have a preference, let me know otherwise it will always be one of these. Colour, style and size matters! PLEASE keep that in mind.

Friends!! I can’t resist. I love it and I know you will too. My 13 year old daughter and I have started making and selling slime. Wait wait- hear me out! It’s not crazy wild slime like when we were kids- it’s so soft and manageable and a great sensory activity too. I won’t say much here (yet) but hop on over to her page and check it out. Here at MarzanoDesigns, my busiest season begins in September but really really kicks off November 1st and continues right through mid-February. From custom apparel to thoughtful personalized gifts, there’s plenty happening behind the scenes!

Please please please - If you’re planning a larger order, please reach out as soon as possible (by like November 10th) Anything after that- I may not be able commit. Whether it’s apparel for your team, business gifts, or matching outfits for the whole family, ordering early helps me plan production and have everything ready when you need it.

I would hate to turn away a special order because there simply isn’t enough time to give it the care and attention it deserves.

📣 LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK!

Yes, I use AI—and I love what it’s done for my business! 🌿

While I don’t always use it, it’s become a fantastic tool. Glasses help us see. Calculators help us work out numbers. The internet helps us find information. Hiring a graphic designer brings skilled creative help to a business. AI is another way I get help bringing my vision to life.

I can’t draw to save my life 😂 But I can describe an idea in great detail—the colours, the layout, the feeling, and all those little touches. I give it direction, review what it creates, and refine it until it fits what I’m imagining.

My ideas. My vision. My direction.

Using AI to help create posters that get my work seen has been amazing. It saves me time during the design process, which means more time making your actual items, completing orders, and getting them out the door! 🙌

It also helps me show customers a visual of their ideas sooner, making it easier to get on the same page and often cutting down on the back-and-forth tweaks. I listen to my customer, picture what they’re asking for, and use detailed prompts to help bring that vision to life. That’s a win-win!

There’s still a person behind MarzanoDesigns—listening, messaging, sourcing, comparing prices, researching material blends and fits, sizing, making mock ups, creating, ordering, picking up which means spending my time and gas, pressing, packaging, and putting care into your orders. That person is me. I’ve also gained so many friendships along the way- because I genuinely care 🤍

AI is here, and it isn’t going anywhere. I’m happy to keep learning how it can help my small business grow.
