Recall Alert: Fire Hazard:

CTG Brands Inc. has recalled the Portable Clip-On Rechargeable Mini Fan (SKU 49901). The battery compartment is not intended to be opened or replaced by consumers and lacks polarity markings, which may cause improper battery insertion and pose a fire hazard.

Stop using the affected fan immediately and return it to CTG Brands Inc. for a refund.

As the Ministry of Natural Resources has posted the Restricted Fire Zone will be lifted as of 12:01pm Aug 20, 2026. Red Lake Fire Rescue wants the remind people that this means we are still in a restricted fire zone until then. No fires until tomorrow. Also Red Lake Fire and the municipality requires you to have a permit within the municipality for fires. You can get your permit at the municipality office or on the municipality web site.

Late summer heat can turn dry lawns, mulch, and yard debris into fast-burning fuel and even small sparks can cause major problems. Carelessly tossed smoking materials are still one of the top causes of preventable outdoor fires.

Before you walk away, take a moment to do it right:
✔ fully put it out (no smoke, no heat!)
✔ use a proper ashtray
✔ keep cigarette butts out of gardens, planters and landscaping

Let’s keep things glowing for the right reasons, with sunshine instead of fires.
