📣It's town hall time! 📣
We're talking office safety and telework,
We're talking management transparency,
And we're deciding how the union can support the needs of Region 2 staff.

Union members in Guaynabo and NYC, and others joining online are deciding what we can do in the next week to make progress.

Join your fellow union members for tonight's AFGE 3911 Town Hall. We have in-person options available for people in PR and NYC. Due to the HVAC work in Edison, the NJ townhall will be solely virtual.

Check the flyers for your closest location or scan the QR code to join virtually! We look forward to seeing you tonight to discuss updates, to hear your concerns, and to sit down for a bite to eat!

Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 when 250,000 African American slaves in Texas were declared free by the U.S. government more than two years after Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation. The incremental end of slavery marked the beginning of a new struggle for economic liberation and equality, and in far too many ways that struggle continues today.

On this Freedom Day, we remember that our words of solidarity are only as powerful as the actions that accompany them.

Last weekend, Local 3911 traveled to Chicago for the Labor Notes Conference, joining 4000+ union members from around the world to learn from one another and grow the labor movement!

We built connections with EPA worker-organizers from around the country, helped chart the future of the Federal Unionists Network alongside federal workers from 30+ agencies and 60+ locals, and attended (and spoke at!) a bunch of awesome conference sessions.

Our members marched down Broadway with thousands of labor movement allies this afternoon to unite in solidarity on May Day!

We also debuted our union’s new tshirts—be on the lookout for them at future events 👀

After the march, the United Federation of Teachers generously hosted public and private sector unions at its headquarters, celebrating our members’ fight to defend the federal service. Our Secretary Maya Greally spoke about the specific challenges we face as EPA workers and federal unionists.

On May Day and every day, while our union rights are under attack.
