Boat rides, an adventure trail, and a bookstore break—Changfeng Park is back. 🌿
After two years of renovations, the park’s north section has reopened. Take a boat out on Yinchu Lake, explore the refreshed trails on Tiebi Mountain, or try the rebuilt Path of the Brave, with challenges at different skill levels. China’s first bookstore dedicated to Nobel Prize-winning literature has opened here, too. 📚

A coffee shop with a front-row seat to the rice harvest? 🌾☕
In Baoshan’s Huahong Village, golden fields stretch out beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows at Our Granary Coffee, a café inside a former grain storehouse. Stay for a coffee and a bite, then head to nearby Luojing Water Conservation Forest for a walk among the dawn redwoods as they begin to change color. 🍂

New Lujiazui photo spot unlocked. 🌼🏙️
The osmanthus trees along Century Avenue are in bloom, filling the walk with their sweet fall scent. Look up, and you can frame the flowers with Lujiazui’s four skyline icons in the background.

One metro stop, two parks, and a new bridge between them. 🌳☀️
Tianshan Park is back after its makeover, and Kaixuan Bridge is now open. The walkway connects the park with Haisu Green Space and West Yan’an Road Station—an easy route for a sunny stroll through Changning.

A coffee stop on the Bund with a 140-year backstory. ☕🕰️
The Gutzlaff Signal Tower once used flags to warn ships about the weather and a time ball to help them set their clocks. Now it’s open to visitors: explore its history on the ground floor, then head upstairs for coffee and Huangpu River views. The tower itself was even moved during the Bund’s redevelopment.

Fall brought the whole color palette to Jinshan. 🎨🌻
At Shanghai Blooming Garden, pink cosmos grow alongside golden sunflowers, matcha-green kochia, purple verbena, and pink-and-white spider flowers. Every turn feels like stepping into a painting.

Shanghai’s “Chinese Fan” has unfolded beside the Huangpu River. 🎭✨
Named for its sweeping, fan-shaped design, the Shanghai Grand Opera House welcomed its first audience on October 17. Music filled the stage and public spaces on opening night, which also kicked off the 25th China Shanghai International Arts Festival.
