இஸ்லாமிய நாட்காட்டியின் 'ரபீஉல் அவ்வல்' மாதம் பிறப்பதன் மூலம், உலகவாழ் முஸ்லிம்கள், தியாகத்தை முன்நிறுத்தி மிகுந்த பக்தியுடன் கொண்டாடும் இறுதித் தூதர் முஹம்மது நபி(ஸல்) அவர்களின் ஜனனதின கொண்டாட்டமான மீலாதுன் நபி விழா இன்றாகும். சமத்துவமான ஒரு சமூகத்தை உருவாக்குவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்ட இந்தத் தினம், வெறும் விழாவிற்கும் அப்பால் ஆழமான ஆன்மீக வடிவத்தை எதிர்பார்க்கும் ஒரு கொண்டாட்டமாகும்.
இருளிலிருந்து வெளிச்சத்திற்கு அழைத்துச் செல்வதற்காக, எல்லையற்ற பொறுமை மற்றும் கருணையின் வழியை வெளிப்படுத்திய முஹம்மது நபி(ஸல்) அவர்கள், மனிதகுலத்திற்கு அன்று முதல் இன்று வரை தோன்றிய மிகச் சிறந்த இறைத் தூதர்களில் ஒருவராவார். 23 ஆண்டுகள் அவர் எதிர்கொண்ட பல்வேறு இன்னல்கள் மற்றும் செய்த இணையற்ற தியாகங்களின் நோக்கம் அமைதி, சகோதரத்துவம், தூய்மை, நம்பகத்தன்மை மற்றும் நீதி நிலைகொண்ட ஒரு நல்ல சமூகத்தைக் கட்டியெழுப்புவதாகும்.
இனம், சாதி, நிறம் அல்லது குலத்தின் அடிப்படையில் மனிதனை மதிப்பிடுவதை நிராகரித்த அன்னார், முழு மனிதகுலமும் ஒரே மூலத்திலிருந்து தோன்றியது என்பதையும், உண்மைத்தன்மை, சகிப்புத்தன்மை மற்றும் கருணை போன்ற உன்னத நற்பண்புகளால் மட்டுமே மேன்மையை அளவிட முடியும் என்பதையும் உணர்த்தினார். சமூகத்தில் உள்ள பணக்கார-ஏழை இடைவெளியை அகற்றி, ஒடுக்கப்பட்டவர்களுக்கும் உரிய உரிமைகளைப் பெற்றுத் தந்து, அவர் சமூக நீதி மற்றும் சமத்துவத்தின் முக்கிய அடித்தளத்தை அமைத்தார். சட்டத்தின் ஆட்சி நிலவும், நீதிமிக்க மற்றும் அனைவரையும் சமமாக நடத்தும் ஒரு நாட்டையும் சகவாழ்வுடனான சமூகத்தையும் உருவாக்கும் நமது எதிர்பார்ப்பை நிறைவேற்றுவதற்கு தேவையான வழிகாட்டுதல் நபிகள் நாயகம் அவர்களின் போதனைகளில் ஏராளமாக காணப்படுகின்றன.
மனிதர்களின் உளத் தூய்மையையும், சமூகத்தின் நன்னடத்தையையும் சீர்குலைக்கும் அனைத்துக் தீமைகளையும் இஸ்லாம் நிராகரிக்கிறது. எனவே, நமது தாய்நாட்டில் பேரழிவாகப் பரவி வரும் போதைப்பொருள் அச்சுறுத்தலுக்கு எதிராக அரசாங்கத்தால் தொடங்கப்பட்ட தேசிய செயற்பாடுகளைப் போன்ற, சமூக ஒழுக்கத்தை உயர்த்துவதற்கான திட்டங்களுக்கு நபிகளார் போதித்த இஸ்லாம் மார்க்கமும் அவரின் வாழ்க்கை முன்மாதிரியும் பெரும் பலத்தை அளிக்கின்றன.
உடைந்த உள்ளங்களைக் குணப்படுத்தி, வெறுப்பிற்குப் பதிலாக அன்பையும், பிணக்கிற்குப் பதிலாக சகோதரத்துவத்தையும் மதிக்கும் ஒரு புதிய யுகத்தை நோக்கிய பயணத்தில், நபிகள் (ஸல்) அவர்களினால் போதிக்கப்பட்ட இணையற்ற தியாகம் மற்றும் மனிதநேயத்தின் ஒளி அந்த பாதையைப் பிரகாசமாக்கும் என்பது எனது பலமான நம்பிக்கையாகும். நபிகளாரின் வாழ்க்கை முன்மாதிரி, அர்ப்பணிப்பு மற்றும் மேலான முயற்சிகளை உண்மையாக அர்த்தமுள்ளதாக்கி, நமது வாழ்க்கைப் பயணத்தை வடிவமைத்துக் கொள்ள உங்கள் அனைவருக்கும் அழைப்பு விடுக்கின்றேன்.
இலங்கையிலும் உலகெங்கிலும் வாழும் அனைத்து முஸ்லிம்களுக்கும் அர்த்தமுள்ள மீலாதுன் நபி தின வாழ்த்துகள் உரித்தாகட்டும்!

ඉස්ලාමීය චන්ද්ර දින දර්ශනයේ 'රබී අල්-අව්වල්' මස උදාවෙත්ම, ලෝකවාසී ඉස්ලාමීය බැතිමතුන් පරිත්යාගය පෙරටු කර මහත් භක්ත්යාදරයෙන් සමරන ශුද්ධ වූ මුහම්මද් නබිතුමන්ගේ ජන්ම දින සැමරුම හෙවත් මිලාද්-උන්-නබි සැමරුම අදට (26) යෙදී තිබේ. සමානාත්මතා සමාජයක් නිර්මාණය කිරීම පරමාර්ථ කරගත් මෙය, හුදු උත්සවයකට එහා ගිය ගැඹුරු ආධ්යාත්මික හැඩගැස්මක් අපේක්ෂා කෙරෙන සැමරුමකි.
අන්ධකාරයෙන් ආලෝකය වෙත කැඳවාගෙන යනු පිණිස, අසීමිත ඉවසීමේ සහ දයානුකම්පාවේ මාවත හෙළිපෙහෙළි කළ මුහම්මද් නබිතුමා, මනුෂ්ය වර්ගයා වෙත එදාමෙදාතුර පහළ වූ ශ්රේෂ්ඨතම ශාස්තෘවරයෙකි. වසර 23ක් පුරා උන්වහන්සේ අභිමුඛ වූ අනේකවිධ කම්කටොලු සහ සිදු කළ අසමසම පරිත්යාගවල පරමාර්ථය වූයේ සාමය, සහෝදරත්වය, පාරිශුද්ධභාවය, විශ්වාසනීයත්වය සහ යුක්තිය රජයන යහපත් සමාජයක් ගොඩනැගීමයි.
ජාතිය, කුලය, වර්ණය හෝ වංශවත් බව මත මිනිසා මැනීම ප්රතික්ෂේප කළ උන්වහන්සේ, සමස්ත මානව සංහතියම එකම මූලයකින් පැවත එන බවත්, ශ්රේෂ්ඨත්වය මැනිය හැක්කේ සත්යවාදී බව, උපේක්ෂාව සහ කරුණාව වැනි උතුම් සාරධර්මවලින් පමණක් බවත් පසක් කළහ. සමාජයේ ඇති-නැති පරතරය දුරලමින්, පීඩිතයාටත් නිසි අයිතිවාසිකම් දිනා දෙමින් උන්වහන්සේ ගොඩනැගුවේ සමාජ සාධාරණත්වයේ සහ සමානාත්මතාවේ හර පදනමයි. නීතියේ ආධිපත්යය රජයන, යුක්තිගරුක සහ සියලුදෙනාට සමානව සලකන රටක් සහ සහජීවන සමාජයක් බිහි කරලීමේ අපගේ අපේක්ෂාව යථාවක් කර ගැනීමට අවැසි මගපෙන්වීම නබිතුමන්ගේ දර්ශනයෙන් නොමඳව සැපයේ.
මනුෂ්යයාගේ අභ්යන්තර පාරිශුද්ධත්වය මෙන්ම සමාජයේ ආචාරධාර්මිකභාවය කිළිටි කරන සියලු විෂයන් ඉස්ලාම් දහම විසින් බැහැර කරනු ලබයි. එබැවින්, අප මාතෘභුමිය මත පිළිලයක්ව වැඩෙන විෂ මත්ද්රව්ය උවදුරට එරෙහිව රජය විසින් දියත් කරන ලද ජාතික මෙහෙයුම වැනි සමාජයීය ආචාරධාර්මිකභාවය ඉහළට ඔසවා තැබීම වෙනුවෙන් වූ වැඩපිළිවෙළවලට නබිතුමන්ගේ දහම සහ ජීවනාදර්ශය මගින් සැපයෙන්නේ මහඟු සවියකි.
බිඳුණු සිත් සුවපත් කරමින්, වෛරය වෙනුවට ප්රේමයත්, විරසකය වෙනුවට සහෝදරත්වයත් අගයන නව යුගයක් කරා යන ගමනේදී, නබිතුමන් විසින් පෙන්වා දෙන ලද අසමසම පරිත්යාගයේ සහ මනුෂ්යත්වයේ ආලෝකය එ’මග බබළවන බව මාගේ දැඩි විශ්වාසයයි. ශුද්ධ වූ නබි නායකතුමන්ගේ ජීවනාදර්ශය, කැපවීම සහ සද්-පරිශ්රමය සැබෑ ලෙස අරුත් ගන්වමින් ජීවන ගමන හැඩගන්වා ගැනීමට ඔබ සැමට ආරාධනා කරමි.
ශ්රී ලාංකික මෙන්ම ලෝකවාසී සමස්ත ඉස්ලාම් බැතිමතුන්ට අර්ථවත් මිලාද්-උන්-නබි උත්සවයක් වේවා!

As the month of Rabi' al-Awwal dawns in the Islamic lunar calendar, Muslims across the world today (26) commemorate Milad-un-Nabi, the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, with deep devotion and reverence, placing sacrifice at the forefront. With the aim of creating a society founded on equality, this is a commemoration that seeks a profound spiritual transformation that goes beyond a mere celebration.
The Holy Prophet Muhammad was one of the greatest teachers to have ever been sent to humanity, illuminating the path of boundless patience and compassion to lead people from darkness to light. The purpose of the many hardships he endured and the unparalleled sacrifices he made over a period of 23 years was to build a virtuous society in which peace, brotherhood, purity, trustworthiness and justice would prevail.
Rejecting the notion of judging people based on race, caste, colour or nobility, the Prophet taught that all humanity originates from a single source, and that true greatness can be measured only by noble values such as truthfulness, tolerance and compassion. By narrowing the gap between the privileged and the disadvantaged in society and securing due rights for the oppressed, he established the fundamental principles of social justice and equality. The Prophet's vision provides us with abundant guidance to realise our aspiration of creating a country governed by the rule of law, justice and equal treatment for all, and a society founded on coexistence and harmony.
Islam rejects all forms of vice that corrupt both the inner purity of the individual and the moral fabric of society. Therefore, the teachings and example of the Prophet provide immense strength to programmes aimed at uplifting the moral fabric of society, such as the national campaign launched by the Government to combat the scourge of illicit drugs, which is spreading like a blight across our motherland.
It is my firm belief that, as we journey towards a new era in which broken hearts are healed, love is valued over hatred and brotherhood over estrangement, the light of the unparalleled sacrifice and humanity demonstrated by the Prophet will illuminate our path. I invite you all to shape your lives by giving true meaning to the life and example, dedication and noble endeavours of the Holy Prophet.
May Milad-un-Nabi be a meaningful celebration for all Muslim devotees in Sri Lanka and across the world!
