📢 We are proud to announce the publication of ISO 32212:2026 – Sustainable Finance: Net Zero Transition Planning for Financial Institutions, the first international standard dedicated to net-zero transition planning for the financial sector.
🌍 Developed by ISO’s Sustainable Finance Committee (TC 322), whose secretariat is held by BSI, through extensive international collaboration, ISO 32212 provides financial institutions with a globally recognized framework to develop, implement, and maintain credible net-zero transition plans.
🔹 As financial institutions play a critical role in financing the transition to a low-emission and climate-resilient economy, structured and forward-looking transition planning has become essential. ISO 32212 helps organizations translate climate ambitions into practical action by integrating transition planning into governance, strategy, financing decisions, risk management, and organizational oversight.
🔹 The standard aligns with leading international initiatives and frameworks, including GFANZ, TPT, ISSB, OECD guidance, and other market developments, while promoting consistency, transparency, and credibility across jurisdictions and financial markets.
✔️A special acknowledgment goes to the experts and leadership team of ISO TC 322 Working Group 4, whose dedication, expertise, and commitment made this landmark achievement possible.
⭐ISO 32212 represents an important milestone in sustainable finance and provides financial institutions with a practical pathway to strengthen resilience, protect long-term value, and contribute meaningfully to the goals of the Paris Agreement.

🌿 World Biodiversity Day | 22 May
Acting locally for global impact
Biodiversity protection needs more than ambition — it needs practical tools, common language and credible action.
That is where standards play an important role. Through the work of ISO/TC 331 – Biodiversity, international standardisation supports organisations in integrating biodiversity into strategy, operations, monitoring and decision-making.

🔎 Key ISO biodiversity work includes:

🌱 ISO 17298:2025 – Biodiversity in organisational strategy and operations
🌱 ISO 17620:2025 – Biodiversity — Process for designing and implementing biodiversity net gain in development projects

A number of standards in the pipeline are on the way to set the scene:

Σε μια εποχή ψηφιακού μετασχηματισμού, τα πρότυπα του ETSI αποτελούν τη βάση για ασφαλείς, αξιόπιστες και διαλειτουργικές ψηφιακές υποδομές.
Μέσα από τη συμμετοχή της Κύπρου στο ευρωπαϊκό σύστημα τυποποίησης μέσω του Κυπριακού Οργανισμού Τυποποίησης (CYS), ενισχύεται η καινοτομία, η συνδεσιμότητα και η ψηφιακή ανθεκτικότητα της χώρας.

Με επιτυχία ολοκληρώνεται σήμερα το εκπαιδευτικό σεμινάριο του CYS «Αποτελεσματική Διαχείριση Κρίσεων σύμφωνα με το ISO 22361», με συμμετοχή από οργανισμούς του δημόσιου και ιδιωτικού τομέα.
Οι συμμετέχοντες είχαν την ευκαιρία να γνωρίσουν τις κατευθυντήριες γραμμές του ISO 22361:2022 και να εξοικειωθούν με πρακτικές προσεγγίσεις αποτελεσματικής διαχείρισης κρίσεων, μέσα από τη μελέτη διεθνών προτύπων και βέλτιστων πρακτικών.
