Ambassador Aqsa Nawaz met with the Minister of Digital Economy & Innovation of Djibouti H.E. Safia Mohamed Ali at her office last week and exchanged views on ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the fields of Information technology (IT), research & digital education. The two sides expressed satisfaction on rising bilateral cooperation in technical fields of mutual interest.
Ambassador Nawaz also met Minister of Education & Vocational Training of Djibouti H.E. Moustapha Mohamed Mahamoud, separately at his office last week. The two high officials discussed cooperation in vocational training and capacity building through delegation exchanges, and technical training in nursing.

Ambassador Aqsa Nawaz paid a two-day visit of the State of Tadjourah in Djibouti and met the city administration, including the Mayor & President of the Regional Council Mr. Idress Ambassa Mohamed and Prefect of Tadjourah Mr. Mohamed Houmed Abass.
During meetings discussions focused on enhancing bilateral relations at regional level through coop. in agriculture, tourism, trade & cultural exchanges. The Ambassador also met with Pakistanis living in Tadjourah.

Ambassador Aqsa Nawaz met with the Minister of Women and Family Affairs H.E.Hana Farah Assoweh at her office in Djibouti. They discussed strategies of women empowerment and fostering bilateral cooperation in the area by learning through best practices, bilateral exchanges, and arranging technical training and capacity building programs for women.
Ambassador Nawaz also welcomed Djibouti’s delegation who will be departing for Islamabad this week to participate in the 9th OIC Conference on Women to be hosted by Pakistan on 12-13 July 2026.

Ambassador Aqsa Nawaz met with the Minister of Youth and Culture H.E. Fardoussa Moussa Egueh at her office in Djibouti. Ambassador congratulated the new minister for assumption of her new office and discussed ways to enhance cultural ties between the two countries. The two sides considered to promote people to people contact, increase tourism, exchange of youth delegation and capacity building programs in media and fashion industry.

Ambassador Aqsa Nawaz participated online in Somalia's Independence Day celebrations organised in Islamabad by the Centre of Afghanistan, Middle East and Africa of the Institute for Strategic Studies Islamabad (CAMEA- ISSI). The session was attended by Mr.Shaiknur Mohammad Ambassador of Somalia in Islamabad, Ambassador Khalid Mahmood Director ISSI, ambassadors and diplomatic community. A video message by Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed was also played at the occasion. Ambassador Nawaz provided an overview of Pakistan-Somalia relations, highlighted bilateral cooperation in education, trade, culture and people to people contacts. She reiterated Pakistan's support to sovereignty and territorial integrity of Somalia and their commitment to enhance bilateral realtions in all fields of mutual interest.

Ambassador Aqsa Nawaz participated in the Africa Day celebrations organized by the Centre of Afghanistan, Middle East and Africa of the Institute for Strategic Studies Islamabad (CAMEA- ISSI). Engr. Khurram Dastgir Khan, former Foreign Minister of Pakistan, was the Chief Guest at the ocassion. Speeches were delivered by Amb Brahim Romani, Acting Dean of the African Ambassador Corps & Ambassador of Algeria & Amb Hamid Asghar, Additional Foreign Secretary Africa, MOFA. Speakers reaffirmed Pakistan-Africa solidarity highlighted the vast opportunities both sides should tap into. African envoys in Pakistan & Pakistan’s envoys in Africa joined the session, followed by an exhibition showcasing African artifacts in the ISSI lawns.
