UWIS Dive - wreck found

We tested the new Alltab together with our UWIS Tracker software during a wreck diving expedition. One of the dive sites was a modest wreck that had remained undiscovered for a long time and had not been detected using side-scan sonar.

Have you been unable to locate a wreck or parts of it?

We carried out a wreck diving expedition on a site that had broken into four separate sections. Using side-scan sonar, we mapped the fragments and transferred the georeferenced images to an underwater tablet (Alltab). With the UWIS Navigator navigation application, we were able to move efficiently from one target to another.

UWIS Dive; Navigating within a wreck field

The updated UWIS Viewer application now supports setting fixed positions for buoys.
This is particularly useful in situations where GPS accuracy is limited or when highly precise positioning is required. The images illustrate a scenario involving the positioning of a single diver/ROV in a river flowing through a city and beneath a bridge.
