Yap FM - Due to a delay in the shipment of essential water treatment supplies, the Yap State Public Service Corporation (YSPC) and the Yap Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) urge all residents and businesses in Colonia and the following affected areas to boil all tap water intended for drinking, cooking, food preparation, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and making ice until supplies arrive and full treatment
operations resume.

This precautionary measure is being taken to protect public health and ensure the continued safety of the water supply while treatment operations are affected by the shipment delay. Residents are advised to bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute and allow it to cool before use.

The EPA also states that water purchased from local commercial water refilling stations does not require boiling before consumption.

YSPC and EPA appreciate the public's cooperation and understanding during this period. Additional updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

Affected Areas:
From Colonia to Balabat
From Colonia to Ngolog
From Colonia to Yinuf
From Colonia to Fanbuywol
