Twechar Healthy Living & Enterprise Centre One stop shop for the community and surrounding areas. Range of activities, clubs group for all the family and also hosts a full time pharmacy and a Cafe.

Twechar Community Action is a company limited by guarantee with charitable status which was formed in 2001 as a response to the closure of the recreation centre in Twechar owned and operated by East Dunbartonshire Council. Twechar Community Action transformed the old recreation Centre into Twechar Healthy Living and Enterprise Centre. A community hub which houses a full-time pharmacy, a satellite GP surgery, café and takeaway service, sports hall, meeting rooms and a vast range of activities and services. The company therefore has its origins in the action of local people to retain and improve one of the few facilities and amenities in the village. Gentle chair based exercises, short walk and a cuppa n chat to finish. New members are always welcomed.

🚌 Followed by our weekly shopping trip, we will pick up at both schemes around 11.50am to leave centre at 12noon. Head to St Maurice's retail park and back for approx 2.30pm. Passengers will be dropped at houses with shopping bags 😁🚌

🌎EDCAH Youth Eco Forums are gathering momentum.....
East Dunbartonshire Climate Action Hub (EDCAH) are co creating with young people a safe place to talk climate issues, helping to facilitate learning and supporting with causes that effect young people.

We are back at Twechar Healthy Living & Enterprise Centre this Wednesday 9th of September 6.30pm - 8pm. 👇

Suggested age is 11-21. Juice and snacks provided. You do not need to live in Twechar to join, visitors are welcomed.

Our next Meet the Funder session is just around the corner 📆

We will be meeting with People's Postcode Lottery in the next series of our monthly meetings. During these meetings, Youth Scotland member groups have the opportunity to learn about the funds available and will get top tips on how to apply for funding for their group.
