Still recruiting for 16–25 year olds in the Lancaster area!

Our King’s Trust Programme has began but there are still spaces available for the next cohort.

This 12-week development programme is designed to build confidence, teamwork and employability skills, alongside hands-on experience and a 3-night residential trip. Participants will also work towards a recognised qualification.

We are looking for young people aged 16–25 (in the Lancaster/Morecambe area) who are currently not in education, employment or training. (16-year-olds must have left school in 2025.)

If you or someone you know could benefit from this opportunity, please get in touch:

Important update: Location Change!

We previously shared that our charity car wash would be at Lancaster Fire Station this Saturday, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it has now been relocated to Morecambe Fire Station.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and hope to see you there supporting Fire Fighters Charity and Mind! (we’ll be accepting both cash and contactless payments.)

Date & time remain the same (11th April 10am-2pm) see you there! 🙂

We hope to see you there! 🚒

Time is running out to share your views.

Our survey on the future of Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service closes this Sunday.

We’re currently developing our next Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP), the five-year plan that guides how we keep people across Lancashire safe. At this stage, there are no proposed changes; we’re simply asking communities what matters most to them.

Your feedback will help shape how our services are delivered in the years ahead, and we’re keen to hear from as many people as possible before the survey closes.

Take part in our short survey here:

Closes 5pm Sunday 15 March 2026

Your response will help guide how we protect and support communities over the next five years.

Have you or someone you know completed the LFRS - King’s Trust (formerly the Princes Trust) 12 week TEAM programme that LFRS deliver? If so, we would love to hear your story!
This year, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service (Official) celebrate 25 years of working in partnership with The King's Trust.

We want to honour this special anniversary by collating feedback from those who have completed the programme or know someone who has.

Please get in touch with us to share your experience and how it may have helped you. Our social media accounts are detailed on the picture below, either message LFRS - King’s Trust on Facebook or on Instagram.

Please comment, message and share far and wide! We look forward to hearing from you all and taking a trip down memory lane! 👏🏼

We’re planning for the future of our services and your views matter.

Our Community Risk Management Plan is a five-year plan that outlines how we will help keep people in Lancashire safe. To shape our next plan, we’re inviting residents, businesses and communities to tell us what’s most important to them.

Your feedback will help guide how our services are delivered in the years ahead, with a further, more detailed consultation planned later in 2026.

Find out more and take part in our short survey: www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/LFRS26
(Survey closes at 5pm on Sunday 15 March 2026)

Congratulations to Lancaster Team 69 on completing their 12 week course! Our young people worked very hard on all aspects of our course, working on their own personal development, gaining experience and taking steps to get back into work or education.

Each one of them had their own personal achievements and our service is very proud of them!

We'd like to say thank you to Lancaster On Ice for providing us with a wonderful day out to end the programme. It so nice to have a day of fun to round off our time together ⛸️🌭

If you know someone aged 16-25 who may benefit from our programme please get in touch.

King's Trust Team 69 are raising money for their community project at Stanley's Community Centre. They are going to renovate their craft room and some external walls and need money for tools and materials.

We will be doing a sponsored cold plunge, a bake sale and will be selling home made jewellery on Friday 26th Sept from 10-1 at Lancaster Fire Station.

Come on down and help a good cause!

Also if any local business or anyone with spare materials can donate anything that would be very helpful! Any painting and decorating equipment, white emulsion, red gloss or white masonry paint would be much appreciated 🙏
