UK Parkour athlete Callum Powell charged with possession of child ab*se images

✖️ Former Storror member and YouTuber Callum Powell has been given a 12-month suspended prison sentence after pleading guilty to multiple offences involving indecent images of children. Powell was sentenced at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on July 17.

✖️ The court decided he would not go to prison immediately but warned that he could be jailed if he commits another offence or breaks the conditions of his sentence. Powell was removed from the parkour YouTube group Storror in May after his guilty plea became public. The allegations resulted in his immediate departure from the group. The judge also ordered Powell to complete 15 Rehabilitation Activity Requirement days with the Probation Service. She warned him that if he breaks the conditions of the suspended sentence or commits another crime, he is likely to be sent to prison.

✖️ During the sentencing, the judge revealed that Powell first denied knowingly searching for indecent images of children after he was arrested. He claimed the images may have appeared on his devices because he had used artificial intelligence software that removes clothing from Instagram pictures. In May, Storror announced that Powell had been removed from the group as soon as members became aware of the case. The parkour collective said it was “shocked, saddened and angered” by the offences and confirmed that Powell would have no future involvement with the group.

Man jailed for over 53 online offences against children

Matthews was initially arrested in 2024 following an allegation of online s*xual offences against a girl under 16, who he targeted via Snapchat and Whatsapp. Following an extensive investigation, further victims were identified who Matthews had targeted using similar methods.

Matthews was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday 12 June. He will also be subject of S*x offender notification for life. In excerpts from Victim Personal Statements, parents of two of Matthews’ victims discuss the impact of his crimes:

“As a parent it is extremely painful to watch your child try to understand and process something so inappropriate and harmful, when she should have been focussing on growing up, learning and enjoying her childhood, not coping with emotional consequences of someone else’s actions. This crime has changed how my child views the world. Trust, once given freely, must now be built slowly and carefully. The psychological effects of this crime are not temporary… healing does not erase the harm that has been done. This was not a harmless interaction, this is calculated exploitation that leaves lasting trauma. My child deserved safety, protection and respect, instead she was manipulated and harmed.”

Speaking after the sentencing, investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Amie Jones from CCSET, said: “Matthews has been proven to be a prolific, calculated and dangerous offender, who caused extreme harm to his victims through coercion and abuse. We hope that today’s outcome provides a measure of comfort as they continue their recovery, and some reassurance that Matthews will be in custody for a significant length of time.”

Pa******le had more than 2,000 abusive images of children

✖️ Sharpe, who had already been convicted of indecent images of children offences in 2021, handed over his mobile phone to one of the officers for them to examine. He admitted deleting some apps from the phone before he let the officers in and was arrested. The phone was examined and 2,188 indecent images of children were found to have been stored on the device, as well as on a cloud storage app linked to Sharpe.

✖️ He had also breached his S*xual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) handed down following the 2021 conviction by uninstalling mobile internet browsers, failing to provide police access to his cloud storage, deleting apps and installing a storage cleaner on his phone. On 21st May 2026 at Peterborough Crown Court, Sharpe, of Brooks Road, Cambridge, was jailed for two years and six months having pleaded guilty to four counts of breaching a SHPO, three counts of making indecent photographs of children and one count each of possessing a prohibited image of a child and possessing an extreme ab*sive image. He was also ordered to sign the s*x offenders register for 10 years.

✖️ DC Andrew McKeane, who investigated, said: “The images are the worst I’ve graded since moving into my current role about five years ago so I’m happy Sharpe has been jailed. He clearly hasn’t learnt anything from his previous conviction. Officers from MOSOVO will always check on convicted se*x offenders in the county to make sure they are adhering to their conditions and court orders. In this case, a routine visit has uncovered further offences which has led to a repeat p*dophile being jailed.”

Former Swindon teacher jailed for abusing 3 schoolboys

✖️ Former teacher Chris Fox, 39, from Pinehurst in Swindon, previously worked at various schools in the town and ran an archery school called Black Cat Archery. On 04/06/2026, Fox was jailed for more than five years at Swindon Crown Court by Judge Jason Taylor, and given four more years on licence. He even lied that he had cancer to gain trust - admitted to the charges of engaging in s*xual activity with a child on 13 April.

✖️ The sentencing was told his crimes were committed against teenage boys in 2017, 2021 and 2022. Statements from his victims were read out at the sentencing hearing, with one describing him as “parasitic”. The judge said Fox had befriended the boys and gained their trust, even offering them alcohol, vapes and condoms. He also lied, saying he had testicular cancer. Judge Taylor added Fox “cynically and manipulatively took advantage of the relationships” for s*xual gratification. He said he could not accept that Fox, who he described as a “predatory wolf in sheep’s clothing” was “genuinely remorseful”.

✖️ One victim - who said they had spent nearly three years in therapy - said his encounters with Fox were his “first experience of s*x and love” which he cannot get back. He said Fox also had turned him against his own family. Another described the toll it had taken on his mental health, including causing anxiety attacks. He added: “I trusted him and he took advantage of me. No matter how many times people tell me it’s not my fault, I still feel it. That victim said he had kept his suffering a secret for many years, and was left feeling “alone, trapped, stupid and naive”. Another victim, who Fox gave money to, said he would always be reminded that “he was giving me things that my parents couldn’t”. He added he had been made to believe he was “special” at primary school, but then things became s*xual when he was older. He was scared to tell his parents how “this person we trusted did these things to me” and “felt such a relief” when he spoke to the police.

SILENCE PROTECTS THE ABUSER

✖️ All that silence does is protect those who abuse our children. All it does is allow them to continue to ruin children’s lives and get away with it. We need to use our voices to expose child abusers, rapists, human traffickers, satanic ritual abusers, etc, and shine the light on their darkness. I know it isn’t easy, and trust me I’m speaking from personal experience, but the more people speak out about their experiences the more people will discover that this is happening more often than they realise. When people know what to look out for it makes it easier to report abuse/exploitation and to get the victims the help that they need.

Convicted p**dophile jailed for possessing thousands of ab*sive images

✖️ Gary McVeigh, of Delamere Street, appeared at Chester Crown Court where he was sentenced to 14 months in prison. The 48 year old had previously pleaded guilty to possession of an indecent image of a child, possession of a prohibited image of a child, possession of extremely abusive images and three counts of making indecent images of children. The court heard how on 21 May 2025, officers attended McVeigh’s address as part of the routine checks made to monitor registered s*x offenders.

✖️ During the visit, officers discovered a mobile phone, a laptop, a USB stick and an SSD memory card. After checking the content of the devices, officers discovered a number of indecent images. During further checks officers recovered more than 12,950 indecent images of children. There was also evidence showing that McVeigh had distributed more than 120,000 images to other p**dophiles.

Monster who abused 3 schoolgirls pleads: “It’s not right”

✖️ A judge blasted a pa******le who continuously shook his head as she jailed him for historic s*x offences. Graham Tardif, 78, has been convicted three offences of indecent assault of a girl under 14; indecent assault of a girl under 16, s*xual assault of a girl by touching and four offences of s*xual assault of a girl under 13 by pe*******on. Manchester Crown Court that Tardif, of Oldham, had abused the three girls over a 20 year period dating back to the late 1990s. The victims cannot be identified for legal reasons.

✖️ Reading from her victim personal statement, one of the victims said: “I am on edge constantly. I have constant flashbacks of what happened to me at the hands of him. I was a child when the abuse started, I had my innocence taken away from me. Every single day is a struggle. I was a victim. I was a warrior and I have had to get to get this far. But now I am a survivor.”

✖️ The other woman had been s*xually abused by Tardif as a girl. In a statement, read by prosecutor Tobias Collins, she said she struggled to trust people and struggled to express her emotions as a result. After Tardif appeared at the magistrates court, another woman reported similar abuse she had suffered at his hands as a child. “You took advantage of small hearts and manipulated them,” she said. “I don’t feel sorry for you, I pity you.”
