🚨 DEFEND THE RIGHT TO DEFEND PALESTINE!! 🇵🇸 🇵🇸

⚡️ DAY OF ACTION IN BRIGHTON:
Rally: 12PM Brighton Train Station
Public Meeting: 5PM, Community Base

🗣️ Our comrades in Brighton have faced escalating repression over the past few months as local Zionists have put pressure on Brighton police to crack down on Palestine solidarity. Our comrade Maya was arrested under the Public Order Act for chanting ‘victory to the intifada’. The police have harassed her repeatedly, breaking into her house, contacting her family and her landlord – for the alleged ‘crime’ of defending the Palestinian resistance. She has now been charged.

📣 Another one of our comrades was brutally arrested and had his house raided over a placard which featured a red triangle. Following the arrest, he has sustained a long-term injury. More recently, a screening of the film Jenin Jenin was censored after it was mass reported by Zionists, with the Charity Commission now investigating the venue.

✊ Under attack, we fight back! Our rights to free speech, to protest, to defend the Palestinian people and their resistance are at stake. We need to build a movement capable of defending itself against state repression – this can only be done through struggle on the streets. If you are an anti-imperialist, if you stand with the Palestinian people, we want to see you in Brighton on the 15th of August!

An injury to one is an injury to all!

🇨🇺🌎 Cuba - Fighting for sovereignty! Fighting for socialism! 🌍🇨🇺

Last Thursday we held a packed out meeting in solidarity with Cuba in Kilburn, West London. We discussed the achievements of Cuba in medical internationalism and their response to the genocidal blockade imposed on them by US, EU and British imperialism.

Cuba today faces an unprecedented level of imperialist threats and aggression: the US blockade has now extended to prevent the import of any oil, causing rolling blackouts across the country, and the US has issued a warrant indicting revolutionary leader Raúl Castro – these attacks could lead to some form of military operation against the island and an attempt to destroy Cuban socialism. This is the time to escalate the campaign to defend the achievements of the Cuban revolution!

These achievements include:

✪ abolishing illiteracy within a year
✪ setting up a universal health service free at the point of use
✪ universal free education to university level, including medical students from around the world
✪ sending hundreds of thousands of healthcare professionals to serve the poorest populations globally
✪ implementing the most progressive Family Code which embraces trans liberation
✪ participatory democracy, referenda and consultations where all Cubans can participate in the revolution.

🚩Socialism or barbarism?🇨🇺

This is the fundamental question of our century.
Against the barbarism of Imperialism, Cuba represents hope. A proof that a better world exists and is in the making.

Unfortunately, too many in the so-called 'left' have joined forces with the worst reactionaries and imperialists to slander the Cuban revolution.

This is unacceptable, Cuba is socialism. And to defend Cuba is to defend socialism 🚩🇨🇺

On this rainy day we can think of brighter ones, like last Sunday!☀️

West London FRFI had its yearly fundraising picnic at Hyde Park, with great success! Comrades brought fantastic food from all over the world, and everyone got together to enjoy and relax😎🥗

A wonderful event for anti-imperialists of London!⛲🌳

Last Saturday, supporters of West London FRFI held a stall in Hammersmith.
We mainly talked about Cuba and the disgusting US' indictment of revolutionary figure Raul Castro.
The people we met were overall supportive and agree that Cuba should be free of Imperialist interference!
We will be back in Hammersmith soon!

The indictment of Raul Castro is based on lies a'd is nothing but an excuse to further oppress the brave and resilient Cuban people whose only crime was to say no to imperialism and build socialism.

As communists and anti imperialists in Britain, it is our duty to defend Cuba against imperialist agression and our own ruling class!
