Huge congratulations to every student who collected their A-level results today!

A massive thank you to Heathcote School and Science College and Head Teacher Sonia Close for kindly inviting us — Cllr Siobhan Wing and Cllr Shenise Adam — to join you for the results presentation. It was an absolute privilege to share in the excitement, pride and hard work that filled the room.

Caught today’s spectacular partial solar eclipse from the top of Friday Hill ☀️🌑

Snapped on my iPhone, carefully through a pair of proper eclipse glasses. Around 91% of the Sun was covered at peak — it got noticeably cooler and the light turned that eerie, silvery quality you only get during these events.

What a treat to witness it from right here in Chingford. Anyone else manage to get a good view this evening?

It was a real honour to attend “Ivy Grove Care home” yesterday and meet with the lovely residents and compassionate staff at The Hatch yesterday.

Seeing so many people singing in the sunshine bought a tear to my eye.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Street Surgery today on Hatch Lane, opposite the Co-op.

It was great to speak directly with residents, hear your concerns and discuss the issues that matter most to our local community.

We heard about a range of issues, including parking, road and pavement conditions, fly-tipping, street cleanliness, anti-social behaviour and conerns about the development on Larkshall Road. We’ve taken these concerns on board and will be following them up with the relevant council teams.

Our Street Surgeries are about being visible, accessible and, most importantly, listening to residents. Your feedback helps us know where action is needed most.

Thank you to everyone who stopped to chat. If you couldn’t make it today, don’t worry, we’ll be holding more Street Surgeries across the ward soon.
