To mark our Diversity Day, children came to school wearing their traditional clothes. In the afternoon, parents were invited in to learn and talk about each others cultures and shared home made food which was devoured by all! It was fantastic to see so many families attend the session. Thank you.

Happy Shoesday! Children and staff have come to school wearing their favourite shoes to promote Walk to School Week.

Today we had Claire Dreyer (Catering Services Manager) from the Pioneer Learning Trust bring a ‘Discovery Table’ information session during the lunchtime for our children to see. The children were very intrigued about where different foods come from. They were able to touch and feel the different type of food displayed whilst discussing with Claire their thoughts. She gave the children she spoke to an activity sheet to complete.

Does your child know where their food comes from? Please ask them to complete the activity sheet and return to school by Tuesday next week as there is a chance to win a prize! Claire will be picking a winner from each year group and they will be presented with a prize in our weekly celebration assembly.

One of our pupils, Harinish, in Year 2 has been exceptionally busy at home with some additional learning and research. After storytelling week he was inspired to find out more about Space and created this wonderful poster and then he created this second poster reminding grown ups about Road safety and how to be a safe driver. We are very proud of him and love to see learning that is happening outside of the school day.
