Parking Concerns – Community Reminder

Good morning residents,
Your local PCSOs, Gary and Carla, have been carrying out patrols in the Bellott Street and Chislehurst Street areas following ongoing complaints regarding inconsiderate and unsafe parking.
We would like to remind all motorists to park responsibly and consider the safety of pedestrians, wheelchair users, parents with pushchairs, and other road users at all times.
Please ensure you do not park:
• On footpaths where a vehicle obstructs pedestrian access
• Near or opposite junctions
• On crossings or zig-zag markings
• In disabled parking bays without entitlement
• Blocking access to driveways or emergency routes
• In a way that forces pedestrians into the road
Incorrect parking can create serious safety risks and may result in enforcement action by the local authority.
Residents are encouraged to continue reporting persistent parking concerns to the council where appropriate.

officers have been deployed across Bury, Salford and North Manchester today.

One male has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article, and two uninsured vehicles have been taken off the roads. The uninsured drivers have been reported and had their vehicles seized.

These deployments are business as usual for us and are nothing to worry about. We deploy unpredictably across Greater Manchester, so we can appear anytime, anywhere.

| Can you help find Chirvalino from ?

He was last seen on Sulby Street yesterday (Friday 22 May 2026) at around 8.30am.

Officers are becoming increasingly concerned about Chirvalino and want to make sure he is safe and well.

This morning, Team 2 Neighbourhood Officers executed two warrants as part of Operation Sceptre.
As a result of these proactive operations, two individuals were arrested on suspicion of drug and weapon-related offences. Enquiries remain ongoing.

PCSO Joanna and PCSO Emma visited various rooms at Collyhurst Nursery today. During the visit, we spoke with the children about the role of police officers and PCSOs within the community, including how we help to keep people safe, support vulnerable individuals, assist during emergencies, and work closely with schools and local residents.

The children had the opportunity to ask questions, explore the police car, and learn that police officers and PCSOs are friendly, approachable, and there to help them if they ever need support. Visits such as these help children to feel comfortable and confident speaking with police from an early age

🚔🚔 Neighbourhood Policing Team 2 - Inspector Pickavance 🚔🚔 North

Team 2 PCSO Angela and PCSO Lisa conducted a joint walkabout around Moston Lane and the surrounding area alongside Mike, Neighbourhood Project Officer from Manchester City Council.
During the visit, discussions focused on the ongoing regeneration of the area and the planned next steps to support improvements within the community. The walkabout provided an opportunity to review current progress and identify key priorities moving forward.

There are plans to carry out regular walkabouts in partnership to maintain engagement, monitor developments, and speak directly with members of the public. This approach will help ensure that local residents remain informed and involved in shaping the future of the area.

PCSO Lisa and PCSO Angela were out with the junior PCSO's at St Dunstan's primary this morning , advising parents and carer's about parking and safety of the children around school area at peak times.

Team 2 PCSOs were on patrol in Moston when they identified a vehicle that had been reported stolen from a nearby location. The vehicle has now been successfully recovered, and the owner has been notified.
