As comes to a close, we want to say a huge thank you to the incredible volunteers who make such a difference every day. 💙

Our volunteers support people across the Thames Valley and surrounding areas, helping them rebuild their lives and move towards a brighter future. They are an essential part of the support we provide.

Not everyone has someone to turn to in a crisis or a helping hand when they need it most. By volunteering, you can help fill those gaps and make a lasting impact on someone’s life.

Volunteers’ Week is not only about celebrating and thanking our volunteers – it’s also about inspiring others to get involved.

Could you help us make a difference?

“When you’re there for somebody, even in the smallest way, it can change everything.” 💙

Meet Yana, one of our Senior Support Workers on the No Recourse to Public Funds project. In her own words, she shares what it’s really like supporting people facing complex immigration challenges — from day-to-day practical help to life-changing moments of hope.

Her story is a powerful reminder of the impact compassionate, consistent support can have for people navigating incredibly difficult circumstances.

We are delighted to share that we have been chosen for the Community Matters scheme at Waitrose & Partners in Brackley. If you are visiting the store, you can pick up a green token at the tills or welcome desk and place it in the charity box with Connection Support’s name. If you are visiting with family, you can also collect more than one token and vote together. This does not require a purchase.

Every token that you place into the Connection Support box will directly support our work at The Beacon in Banbury, a welcoming, safe, and non‑judgmental space for people experiencing homelessness, rough sleeping, or social isolation. The Beacon provides hot meals, drinks, essential items, regular social connection, and access to services that help people address housing issues and other challenges.

If you plan on visiting Waitrose Brackley, please do vote for us and participate in this inspiring scheme that helps those most in need 💚

A huge thank you to the four incredible individuals - Ben, Chris, Luke and Zak - who took on the London Marathon on Sunday 👏

Together, they raised an amazing £11.2K for Connection Support! These funds will go straight back into the local community, helping us support people who are facing homelessness, housing issues, and mental health challenges.

We’re so grateful for your effort, energy and commitment - what an achievement! 🧡

We are delighted to share that we have been chosen for the Community Matters scheme at Waitrose & Partners in Aylesbury. If you are visiting the store, you can pick up a green token at the tills or welcome desk and place it in the charity box with Connection Support’s name. If you are visiting with family, you can also collect more than one token and vote together. This does not require a purchase.

Every token placed in our box will support our supported accommodation project for people aged 16–55 who are rebuilding their lives. Funds from the scheme will help us deliver activities that teach residents how to cook healthy, affordable meals and create a sense of community as people cook and eat together, instilling confidence and building life skills.

We are grateful to Waitrose Aylesbury for selecting us for this scheme and would be grateful to have your support in this initiative! 💚
