It’s great to see this property now open its doors, and we were delighted to be appointed to install a fire safety system that fully met the designer’s requirements. The system incorporates terminations to an Automatic Opening Vent (AOV), sprinkler system, and multiple door access control interfaces, ensuring a compliant and integrated fire safety solution throughout the building.

We’re always committed to growing our knowledge and strengthening our EAL recognition — and we’re proud to share that our Managing Director has just passed the EAL Level 3 Award in the Requirements of Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems for Buildings (BS 5839-1:2025), missing only one mark. 👏🔥

The recent updates to BS 5839-1:2025 now state that any fire contractor working on your fire alarm systems must be certified by a third-party certification body operating under a UKAS-accredited certification scheme.
These changes help ensure that the requirements set out in the amended Fire Safety Order are properly met and that building owners receive competent, compliant fire safety services.

We’re proud to share that we recently installed a BS5839-1 compliant wireless fire alarm system at the St Peter’s C of E Primary School, helping ensure the doors could open safely in time for the end of the summer holidays.

The chosen solution was the Cygnus Smarter 100 system, giving us the option to reduce labour times with no compromise on safety and standards.

This was a short notice opportunity where our team pulled together to survey, design, install, and commission the system to the BAFE SP203-1 standards, all within a tight timeframe.
