🥕What can go into your Food Waste Bin in Wealden District Council
Food waste makes up around 30% of household rubbish. Recycling it will help reduce waste, protect the environment and free up space in your bin.

Cooked and uncooked food waste
▪ All uneaten food and plate scrapings,
▪ Meat, fish and bones,
▪ Dairy products,
▪ Eggs,
▪ Tea bags and coffee grounds,
▪ Rice and pasta,
▪ Beans,
▪ Bread, cakes and pastries,
▪ Fruit, vegetables and peelings.
Remember to put your mouldy and out of date food in your food waste bin, but don't forget to remove the packaging!
❎NO THANK YOU
▪ Cooking oil,
▪ Liquids (e.g. milk),
▪ Non-food waste,
▪ Packaging of any kind.
Don't forget to keep the lid closed! Use the handle to lock your food waste bin when outside.
