Savick Library October half-term children's author storytelling session. Wednesday October 28th 12:00- 12:30. Ages 3- 8 yrs
Do join Gemma and Liz - the founders of "Stories Like Ours" for a fun story reading session featuring their latest books: "Play Date" and "New Bedrooms" "At Stories Like Ours, we believe every child deserves to see their family reflected in the stories they read. Families come in all shapes and sizes, from co-parented and single-parent households to foster and adoptive families, blended families, and children with disabilities and additional needs."

Please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the event. The event is free, but places are limited so please reserve yours by completing the form below.

Thanks to Clinton Smith from the Preston Black History Group for today's talk about the Battle of Bamber Bridge. A true story about how the people of Bamber Bridge stood up for black GIs during the second world war. Clint is so knowledgeable about the event he did not use any slides for his presentation. If you are interested in going on a walk around Bamber Bridge to find out more about the story and the historic site e mail [email protected] and we will liaise with Clint regarding organising a date for the walk.
