💷 Richard Tice promises cheap energy if Reform extracts “every last drop” from the North Sea. Sounds good. But here’s the problem.

The North Sea resources are dwindling. ⛽ Production has collapsed 77% since 2000. By 2030, it will be 37% lower than today. Around 90% of recoverable oil and gas is already gone.

It’s fine to drill what we can, but even if we drill every remaining field, it won’t make bills cheaper. Why? Because oil is priced on global markets. A crisis in Russia, the Middle East, or anywhere else spikes prices here.

That’s not energy independence. That’s false hope.

Real energy independence comes from renewables and nuclear power. ☀️ These cut the cord to volatile global oil markets and bring bills down long-term.

But Reform doesn’t want that…

92% of their donations between 2019 and 2024 came from fossil fuel interests. They wouldn’t exist without them. And they’re paying up by undermining the one thing that would actually deliver cheaper, stable bills.

Reform are not your friends. ❌
