Welcome to the weekend!
On Saturdays your local library is open from 9:30am - 12:30pm

"The best moments in reading are when you come across something - a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things - which you had thought special and particular to you. Now here it is, set down by someone else, a person you have never met, someone even who is long dead. And it is as if a hand has come out and taken yours."
- Alan Bennett, -The History Boys.

Come in and borrow some moments! 👍

The Queen spoke about memorable moments in her own reading for BBC documentary The Book That Changed My Life, and about the life-changing power of literacy and books.
Perhaps the most sobering statistic in this documentary is that there are eight million adults in the UK who struggle with even basic levels of literacy.

The Book That Changed My Life, BBC2, 14 October, 21.00 and iPlayer.

In a new BBC documentary, the Queen Camilla shares why books matter so much to her and appears alongside others whose lives have been transformed by reading.
