⏰ It's Testing Tuesday!

It is recommended to test your fire alarm every month, as a working fire alarm can save lives.

👉 To test yours, all you need to do is hold down the test button on the detector until it sounds. The alarm should be loud and heard throughout the home.

⚠️If you live in one of our Sheltered Housing schemes, you can rest assured that your fire alarm system is tested on a weekly basis and you do not need to do this yourself.

The Southend-on-Sea City Council HAF programme is back until 28th August 2026! ☀️

👉There are some exciting new additions to the programme including FREE Gym and Swim passes for eligible secondary pupils!

Eligible pupils can book up to 16 days and attend one club per day. Only eligible pupils in receipt of benefits related free school meals can attend.

The booking site will automatically check eligibility once a parent/carer has created an account and entered their child's details.
