There are two author events coming up in Buckinghamshire Libraries on 16th June

Robin Ince is returning to Haddenham Community Library on Tuesday 16 June at 1pm. If you would like to see him, tickets cost £6 and are available from [email protected]

Simon Mason, crime fiction writer, will be back with a special author event taking place at Wendover Community Library on Tuesday 16 June at 4pm, as part of the National Year of Reading.
Simon will be in conversation with Frances Tipper, offering an engaging discussion about his writing, creative process, and latest titles. ✨You may have seen our name has changed from Family Centres to Family Hubs ✨

Our Family Hubs bring together a wide range of support for families in one welcoming, trusted place. We offer activities and help from pregnancy through to the teenage years.
While each hub may look a little different, they all follow the same shared principles to make sure support is:
✅ Friendly
✅ Consistent
✅ Easy to access

Some of our sites will be Best Start Family Hubs. These provide extra support during pregnancy and early childhood. They focus on helping younger children be ready for school and to achieve a Good Level of Development.

You’ll still get the same warm welcome — with additional support for families who need it most.

We've got a new volunteer project! We're looking for a small group of volunteers to help list some of our historic parish magazines so that they are more accessible for future researchers.

This project takes place on site in Aylesbury and requires the use of a computer able to use Microsoft Excel. We'll be providing full training in how to list these documents as part of our collection.

Balanceability

🚲 Do you want to help build your child’s confidence on a bike? Then book on to one of our free Balanceability programmes!

Aimed at children aged 2½ to 5 years old, Balanceability teaches the skills needed to ride a bike without stabilisers, improves spatial awareness and dynamic balance!

These sessions use balance bikes, games, and fun challenges to make learning to ride a bike safe, enjoyable and effective, whilst providing opportunities for some quality time with your little one.
