We work with 300 national and international clients delivering training programmes from L2 traineeships to L6 degree apprenticeships. A huge congratulations to our 1st Year Mechanical Engineering Apprentices, who have unveiled a unique Wellington Bomber sculpture at Watchtree Nature Reserve.

Created as part of this year's National Apprenticeship Challenge, the sculpture was designed and built using recycled bicycle parts, celebrating both Watchtree's WWII aviation heritage and its commitment to sustainability.

Working alongside Watchtree Nature Reserve, our apprentices brought the project from concept to completion, applying their engineering skills, creativity and teamwork to create a lasting feature for the local community.

The sculpture, inspired by the Wellington Bombers that once operated from RAF Great Orton, has now been installed overlooking one of the reserve's original runways and serves as a striking reminder of the area's history.

The project achieved outstanding success, winning first place in the National Apprenticeship Challenge sculpture competition and showcasing the incredible talent of our future engineers.

A fantastic achievement by everyone involved and a project our apprentices can be incredibly proud of.

The event brings together industry, education and skills leaders to explore how organisations can build resilient workforces, address future skills needs, and adapt to an evolving business landscape.

We're particularly proud that Graeme Barker, Head of Engineering at Gen2, will be joining the Academia Panel alongside representatives from Energus, Energy Coast UTC, Lakes College and the University of Cumbria.

With more than 25 years' experience in education and training, Graeme is passionate about developing industry-led skills programmes, improving learner experiences, and helping employers build the workforce they need for the future.
