Looking for a free, fun way to keep children reading over the summer holidays?

The Summer Reading Challenge is returning to the library this July!

Children can read books, earn rewards, discover new favourites and take part in activities throughout the summer.

This year's theme is Read to the Beat, celebrating stories, music and creativity.

Look at all the new books that have arrived at Wythall Library today. We have everything from Bluey and Peppa Pig board books, to picture books about Goodnight Grandparent and Whack A Moley. We also have the latest Cressida Cowell and Joseph Coleho and fact books about dinosaurs and hamsters. This is just a selection! Free community event at Redditch Library!

On Thursday 11th June, 3.30-5.00pm, our sister library in the centre of Redditch are celebrating Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History Month with a special event. There will be traditional foods, childrens activities and a chance to hear from Gemma Lees, an author from the community.

All are welcome to come and join in the celebration!

Exciting news! We have Sunday Times bestselling author Annie Murray coming to Wythall Library on Saturday 13th June from 2.30. A lot of Annie's books are set in and around Birmingham. Come along and hear her talk about her inspirations, and her latest novel and ask your own questions.
The talk is part of Wythall Library's 10th birthday celebrations, so come along and help us celebrate. Have your opportunity to ask an author something you have always wanted to know.
Places are free, but limited, so places must be booked in advance.
