What a start to the season for Cian!
After not competing since the Dublin Horse Show last year, Cian returned to the show three weeks ago at the Riding Club Festival in Mullingar Equestrian Centre, the largest annual event for Riding Club members in Ireland, attracting competitors from clubs across the country.
It was a fitting return, as when Cian began his competition career last year, he also won and was crowned Champion of the Show.
The weekend began with the Lightweight Cob Showing Class, where Cian behaved impeccably and received lovely compliments on his turnout. Looking every bit the superstar, he proudly took 2nd place in a very competitive class.
In the afternoon, Cian stepped into new territory, taking part in his very first dressage competition. With as his rider and partnering with Michelle Dunphy and her horse, Billy, in the Pairs Dressage Championship, the team delivered an outstanding performance, winning the class with an impressive score of 77.75%.
We couldn't be prouder of Cian. His calm attitude, willingness to learn, and versatility continue to shine through every challenge he takes on.
Hanna had been a member of the Mill Road Riding Club in Thurles for over 16 years. We are proud of the great teamwork between Cian and Hanna and look forward to seeing what his next competition in July brings.
