Little Vikings Summer Workshops at Dublinia,
Dig, Discover and Create!

Young explorers are invited to step back in time and discover the world of Viking Dublin in this fun-filled summer workshop designed especially for children.

The adventure begins with a guided tour of our Viking Dublin exhibition, where children will uncover fascinating stories about Viking life, culture, and daily activities.

Following the tour, children will take part in a hands-on archaeological dig, uncovering replica Viking artefacts and learning how archaeologists investigate the past. The workshop concludes with a creative craft session, where each child will design and decorate their own Viking shield to take home.

Packed with discovery, creativity, and hands-on learning, this engaging experience is perfect for curious young Vikings looking for a memorable summer adventure.

Suitable for: Children aged 6 to 12 years

Duration: 1 Hour

Tickets: Workshop is free of charge but general admission tickets to Dublinia must be purchased online or at Dublinia, before, or on the day of the workshop.

Dublin by Dusk, is a new night-time economy drive, launched to bring a co-ordinated programme to Dublin city-centre on the last Thursday of each month, beginning on 28th May.

Selected cultural venues, visitor attractions, retail and hospitality businesses will extend opening hours with new events, experiences, and added-value offers, and Dublinia is taking part!

We’re open late too!

We will be open from 5pm to 9pm, inviting visitors to step back in time and experience life in Viking and Medieval Dublin. Explore the museum after hours with engaging guided tours and Living Historians who bring the city’s fascinating past vividly to life.
