I stand in deep sorrow at the passing of Ghulam Mohammed Mir of Arin Bandipora — a loss that has left a void not only in the hearts of his family but in the fabric of the entire community.
I extend my most sincere condolences to the bereaved family & pray that Almighty Allah grants the departed Jannat-ul-Firdous and blesses the family with the sabr and strength to bear this irreplaceable loss.

With a heart heavy with grief, I mourn the sudden and tragic departure of young Ubaid Shabir of Srindar, Bandipora — a soul whose youth held the promise of many tomorrows.
I stand beside the bereaved family in this hour of immeasurable sorrow, extending my deepest condolences. I also pray for the swift recovery of his worthy father, Shabir Ahmad of Nadihal, Bandipora, whose strength is needed now more than ever.
May Almighty Allah grant the departed the highest station in Jannat-ul-Firdous, and bless the family with sabr, patience, and enduring courage to face this irreparable loss.

SANITATION WORKERS CALL ON INC DISTRICT PRESIDENT BANDIPORA
ADVOCATE SHEIKH FAROOQ HABEEB , SEEK REDRESSAL OF GRIEVANCES

Bandipora, May 29, 2026

A deputation of Sanitation Workers from the Health Department called upon Advocate Sheikh Farooq Habeeb, District President of the Indian National Congress (INC), Bandipora at his residance, and apprised him of the long-standing grievances they have been facing in the course of their service.

The delegation, led by Adv. Sheikh Arshad, DYC President Bandipora, placed before the INC District President a range of issues pertaining to their working conditions and service-related matters, urging that their concerns be taken up with the appropriate authorities at the earliest.

Advocate Sheikh Farooq Habeeb gave a patient hearing to the deputation and extended a warm assurance of all possible help and support in addressing their concerns. He affirmed that the genuine grievances of the sanitation workers would be strongly highlighted before the concerned quarters and the relevant authorities, so that their issues receive due attention and a timely resolution.

The INC District President also acknowledged the remarkable role played by these workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, noting that despite facing social boycott during that difficult period, they continued to serve the community with dedication and courage.

He reiterated the Congress party's unwavering commitment to the welfare of the working class and assured the delegation that no stone would be left unturned in pursuing their legitimate demands through proper channels.

The sanitation workers expressed gratitude to Advocate Sheikh Farooq Habeeb for his understanding and assured support, and expressed hope that their grievances would be redressed at the earliest.
