Project Sunkalp | Camp KVT-MDTK-008 | 04.08.2026

Fifty people gathered at Etti Amman Kovil in Vinayaganallur for a conversation that could help save lives.

Not because they were ill.

Because understanding the warning signs of cancer is the first step towards preventing it.

As part of Project Sunkalp, C. S. Shanthi conducted a Cancer Awareness Talk that encouraged participants to recognize early symptoms and seek timely screening.

The session covered four important topics:

• iBreastExam – a quick, radiation-free breast screening that helps identify abnormalities early.
• Pap Smear – a simple screening test that can detect cervical changes before they become cancer.
• Oral Examination – because a mouth ulcer, persistent sore, or white or red patch that doesn't heal should never be ignored.
• Skin Cancer Awareness – learning to recognize changes in moles or unusual skin patches that may need medical attention.

Cancer often develops silently, without pain or obvious symptoms.

That is why awareness is so powerful. Knowing what to look for and getting screened at the right time can make treatment more effective and save lives.

Every awareness session we conduct brings life-saving information closer to the community, empowering individuals to protect not only themselves but also their families.

Share this message. One conversation about early detection could make a lifetime of difference.

Project Sunkalp | Camp KVT-MDTK-025 | 04.08.2026

47 women ended their workday with something far more valuable than a completed shift, they took an important step towards protecting their health.

At AV Thomas Leather & Allied Products Pvt. Ltd. in Sillavattam, Madurantakam, every participant screened that day was a woman. In a single workplace camp, we completed:

47 clinical breast examinations
47 oral cancer examinations
34 Pap smear screenings

For many working women, preventive healthcare often takes a back seat to work and family responsibilities. By bringing cancer screening directly to the workplace, we make it possible for women to access life-saving services without losing a day's wages or travelling long distances.

Breast, cervical, and oral cancers are among the cancers that can often be detected early through regular screening. Early detection leads to earlier treatment, better outcomes, and, most importantly, more lives saved.

Through Project Sunkalp, Kalpavriksham Trust is working alongside industries and communities to make cancer screening accessible where people live and work. Every workplace camp is an investment in healthier employees, stronger families, and a future where early detection becomes the norm.

If you're part of an HR or CSR team, your organisation can make a lasting impact on employee well-being. We bring the medical experts, screening equipment, counselling, and detailed reporting, you provide the space and the opportunity for your workforce to prioritise their health.

Awareness is where every life-saving journey begins.

On 03-08-2026, the halls of Alina Private Limited, Pukathurai, Chengalpattu District, became a space for learning, hope, and empowerment as 450 employees came together for a Cancer Awareness Talk organized by Kalpavriksham Trust and Global Cancer Concern India.

Led by Mrs. C. Shanthi, the session went beyond sharing information.. it inspired participants to take charge of their health. From understanding the importance of iBreastExam and Pap smear testing to recognizing the early warning signs of oral and skin cancers, every conversation reinforced one powerful message: early detection can save lives.

A few minutes of awareness today can lead to timely action tomorrow. By encouraging regular screenings and preventive healthcare, we are helping individuals make informed choices for themselves and their families.

Because every informed individual becomes an ambassador of awareness, and every awareness programme brings us one step closer to a healthier community.

37 women chose prevention over postponement.

At our Project Sunkalp cancer screening camp in Gnangiriswaran Pettai, Madurantakam, every beneficiary screened that day was a woman. Together, we completed:

37 clinical breast examinations
37 oral cancer examinations
26 Pap smear screenings

Cancer doesn't always announce itself with symptoms. Breast, cervical, and oral cancers often develop silently, making regular screening one of the most effective ways to detect disease early—when treatment is simpler, recovery rates are higher, and lives can be saved.

For many women, balancing work, family, and daily responsibilities means their own health is often pushed aside. By bringing cancer screening directly into the community, we remove barriers such as travel, cost, and lost time, making preventive healthcare accessible to those who need it most.

Through Project Sunkalp, Kalpavriksham Trust is committed to creating healthier communities across Madurantakam by combining cancer awareness with accessible screening services. Every camp empowers women to take charge of their health and encourages early detection before symptoms appear.

Community partnerships are at the heart of this mission. Together, we can ensure that no woman misses the opportunity for life-saving cancer screening simply because healthcare is out of reach.

Kalpavriksham Trust is registered under 12AB, 80G, and CSR-1 (MCA) and is listed on NGO Darpan. We provide transparent, camp-wise impact reports for every CSR partnership.

Would your village, organisation, educational institution, or workplace like to host a cancer screening camp? Comment "CAMP" or get in touch with us, we're ready to bring early detection services to your community.

26 people came together in Gnangiriswaran Pettai for a simple reason: to make sure a preventable disease doesn't become a life-changing diagnosis.

At our Project Sunkalp cancer screening camp in Gnangiriswaran Pettai, Madurantakam, we screened:

11 clinical breast examinations
25 oral cancer examinations

What stood out wasn't just the numbers—it was the participation. Fifteen men stepped forward for oral cancer screening alongside 11 women, a reminder that cancer awareness is not just a women's issue.

Oral cancer remains one of the most common cancers in India, yet it is also one of the most preventable and treatable when detected early. A quick examination can identify suspicious changes long before they become serious. Likewise, regular breast screening gives women the opportunity to detect abnormalities at a stage when treatment is most effective.

Through Project Sunkalp, Kalpavriksham Trust is bringing cancer screening closer to communities, ensuring that distance, cost, and lack of awareness are no longer barriers to early detection. Every village we visit is another step towards a healthier, cancer-aware Tamil Nadu.

Community support makes this mission possible. Together, we can ensure that more families have access to life-saving screening services before symptoms appear.

Kalpavriksham Trust is registered under 12AB, 80G, and CSR-1 (MCA) and is listed on NGO Darpan. We provide transparent, camp-wise impact reports for every CSR partnership.

At AV Thomas Leather & Allied Products Pvt. Ltd. in Sillavattam, Madurantakam, every beneficiary screened that day was a woman. Together, we completed:

Most cancers do not begin with pain. Breast and cervical cancers often develop silently, which is why regular screening is one of the most powerful tools we have. Detecting cancer early can mean simpler treatment, lower costs, and far better outcomes.

For many working women, finding time to visit a hospital is difficult. By bringing cancer screening directly to the workplace, we make preventive healthcare convenient, accessible, and free from the barriers of travel, lost wages, or missed work.

Through Project Sunkalp, Kalpavriksham Trust is committed to ensuring that women have access to life-saving cancer screening services where they work and live. Every camp is another step towards building healthier workplaces and cancer-aware communities.

If you're part of an HR or CSR team, you can help make early detection accessible to your employees. We bring the medical experts, screening equipment, counselling, and comprehensive reporting, you provide the space and the opportunity for your workforce to prioritise their health.

Project Sunkalp | Camp KVT-MDTK-007 | 29.07.2026

Thirty people in Karikilli Village spent part of their day learning something that could one day save their lives.

Not because they were sick.

Because the best time to find cancer is before it causes symptoms.

During today's Cancer Awareness Talk, participants learned about the four screenings that can make the biggest difference through early detection:

* iBreastExam – a quick, radiation-free breast screening that helps identify women who may need further evaluation.
* Pap Smear – a simple test that can detect changes in the cervix years before they become cervical cancer.
* Oral Cancer Screening – because a mouth ulcer that doesn't heal, especially in to***co users, should never be ignored.
* Skin Cancer Awareness – noticing a mole or skin patch that changes in size, shape, or colour can lead to earlier diagnosis and better outcomes.

Cancer does not always announce itself with pain. It often begins quietly.

That is why awareness matters. Knowing what to watch for-and when to get screened-can save lives.

Every village we visit is one more community empowered with knowledge. Every conversation is another chance for someone to seek help before it is too late.

Share this with your family and remind them that regular screening is one of the simplest ways to protect their health.
